Webster Township, Harrison County, Indiana

The Salem German Reform Church Cemetery is located about one mile northeast from the town of New Middletown, at the end of a paved road that runs north of the New Middletown Road. This road may be known as part of Payton Road, although several local maps do not show the actual name for this part of road. The church and cemetery is situated in the Northwest ¼ of the Northeast ¼ of Section 14, Township 4 South, Range 4 East, of Webster Township, Harrison County, Indiana.

The church is located on the east side of the road and faces west. The cemetery is located south of the church. Graves exist to the south and east from the church.

This cemetery contains over two-hundred individuals buried within twenty rows. The earliest known burial occurred on July 16, 1866, upon the death of George E. McClennan Kusler, although the cemetery may have received several earlier burials prior to that date.

On Tuesday, 22 July 2003, Kevin and Angie Conrad transcribed the information found on the grave stones in this cemetery. The information was collected beginning at the first grave in the northwest corner of row 1 (the row nearest the road) and working to the southern end of the row.
