This Photograph is dated around 1914. Its a family reunion of the Lewis Mitchell & Martha Caroline (Dolby) Morrison family. Martha is in the 3rd row back - fourth person over. She is standing behind her husband Lewis Morrison (with the white hair and mustache). Martha is holding their son Samuel who is about 2 years old at this time. In the front row the 2nd, 3rd and 4th girls are Lucille, Mary and Delores Morrison, the older children of Martha and Lewis. Martha had 3 other children from her previous marriage to David Payne who are probably also in this picture. They were Marion (male), Vance and Lulu Payne. Lulu might be the first girl in the first row.. The boys, Marion and Vance being a bit older, might be the ones next to Delores. Martha Caroline Dolby was born 20 February 1872, and died 04 February 1928. Martha was first married to David Franklin Payne who died in 1901, she later married Lewis Mitchell Morrison on the 27th of September 1904. Lewis was born 03 May 1853 and died 22 June 1928. Martha and Lewis lived their entire lives in Warren, Huntington County Indiana. Of the four children of Lewis and Martha, two are still living. One is Samuel, the little boy in the photo, and the other is his sister Deloris born in 1907. This photo iin the possession of Carolyn Jevelian, a grandaughter of Martha Caroline (Dolby) Morrison. Carolyn borrowed the photo from her cousin, the owner, Mary Alice Dunwood Laymon.
