LINCOLN DIXON

Lincoln Dixon, congressman from the Fourth Indiana district is 52. He was born in Vernon, Jennings county, Indiana, and educated at the Vernon academy, after which he entered the Indiana State university in 1876. He graduated from that institution in 1880, and began the practice of law two years later. In 1884 he was elected prosecuting attorney for the Sixth judicial circuit, and re-elected in 1886, 1888 and 1890. He was a member of the democratic state committee for congress in 1904. He has served in congress continually since the Fifty-ninth session.

Jennings County, Indiana, may claim the "oldest inhabitant" if the story of Grigg Harper, a colored resident of that county is true. He says he was born in Virginia in 1746, and was emancipated at the age of eighty.

Capt. Noon, one of the oldest pioneers of Nogales, was agreeably surprised Monday by receiving through the mail a photograph of an elder brother, Patrick Noon, aged 101 years. The old gentlemen who is in remarkable good health resides at North Vernon, Jennings County, Indiana.

Capt. Noon, one of the oldest pioneers of Nogales, was agreeably surprised Monday by receiving through the mail a photograph of an elder brother, Patrick Noon, aged 101 years. The old genteman who is in remarkable good health resides at North Vernon, Jennings county, Indiana. Oasis, Capt. Noon had the distinction of being selected the first assembly man from Santa Cruz county.
