Knox
County was one of the counties of the
Northwest Territory prior to the
formation of Indiana Territory.When it
was created, Knox County stretched
from the Ohio River to the Illinois
River. When the Illinois Territorywas
formed in 1809, the portions of Knox
County beyond the Wabash River became
a part of Illinois. Knox County is a
county located in the U.S. state of
Indiana. As of 2000, the population
was 39,256. The county seat is
