In the name of the benevolent Father of All, I, Mary J. Makemson, mindful of the uncertainty of life and of the certainty of death do make, declare and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

Item I.  I will and direct that all of my just debts and burial expenses be paid and an appropriate inscription placed upon the monument alread erected.
Item 2.  I give and bequeath to my faithful friend Frances Ellen Miller, three dollars per week, beginning with January 1st 1920 and continuing so long as she shall remain with me.
This is in addition to what I have heretofore given her, but, any money paid to her hereafter by myself or by any beneficiary under this Will shall be applied upon the amount due her under this Will and shall stand to the credit of the beneficiary thus paying.
Item 3.  I give, devise and bequeath all the residue and remainder of my estate, real and personal, and of every kind and nature to my brothers William S. Brown, Roland W., James N., Reuben A., Alfred G., Edward S. Brown and my step-daughters, Lillie Shroyer and Minnie Elder, share and share alike, as their absolute property.
In giving to the beneficiaries under this item of this Will, in equal shares, I wish to be understood as holding them all in equal esteem and feel that none would shirk a duty looking to my welfare and comfort but I realize that circumstances will of necessity cast this care upon them unequally.  I therefore, express the hope and wish that the beneficiaries under this item of this Will will meet in friendly spirit and make reasonable and just allowances to these entitled in fairness thereto.
in Witness whereof, I hereunto set my hand this 5th day March, 1920, in the presence of John H. Brubaker and Ines Bolinger, who in my presence and in the presence of each other and at my request sign the same as witnesses hereto.
