Maeri Mattug, whose son lost a hand in the Illinois Steel company's plant at Hammond, Ind., has sued for $10,000 damages. [The North Platte Semi-weekly Tribune. (North Platte, Neb.), 06 March 1896]

An interesting case was recently concluded in the Lake County Circuit Court. The suit was brought to set aside the will of James Rice, an old gentleman who died, worth about $11,000, and his will left to his sons, James V. and Elias M. Rice, and his daughter, Esther Butts, only five dollars each. Upon this the suit was brought, the main plea of the plaintiffs being incompetency of the testator on account of extreme old age and deficiency in sight and hearing. Verdict was given for the plaintiffs. [The Indianapolis News (Indianapolis, Indiana) - 27 Feb 1875, Sat]
