Maxine (Bunnell) LaFond
Mrs. Maxine LaFond, 42, of 3400 20th PI., East Gary, died Monday at Mercy Hospital in Gary. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Snyder Funeral Home, Hohman Ave. and Warren St., Hammond. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today.  Mrs. LaFond is survived by her husband, Harold; four sons, John of Hammond, James in the U.S. Navy, Thomas and Robert of East Gary; one daughter, Jacquelin; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Campbell and Mrs. Betty Allen, both of Monticello, Ind., Mrs. Irene Foreman of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Louise Kennard of Marion and Miss Marjorie Bunnell of Monticello; three brothers, Walter, Lloyd and John Bunnell, all of Monticello. Lathrop, Samuel
Died, March 19, (1909) at Portland, Mich., Samuel Lathrop, a pioneer in St. Joseph county of 1833, and an old settler in Lake county of 1845. He was nearly 90 years of age.

Latta, Charles V.
Drowned in the Kankakee River, near Shelby, August 7th, (1909) Charles Vernon Latta, 12 years of age, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Latta, of Shelby.

Lee, Thomas B.
On Wednesday, January 19th, (1910) was brought here for burial the body of Thomas Benton Lee, who died quite suddenly in Missouri on Saturday, January 15th. His wife was a daughter of Mr. Amos Brannon, an early settler in West Creek. The Lutheran church building, bearing the date of 1886, is a monument of Mr. Lee's work as a contractor and builder. He was for many years a coal dealer in Crown Point.
