Moved to Bedford in 1901.  Died of pneumonia December 18, 1918, Camp Upton. Buried at Clear Creek, Ind. BALDWIN, GROVER PRIVATE Son of Eli and Martha Baldwin was born September 20, 1895, Mitchell, Lawrence County, Ind. Laborer. Entered service June 25, 1918, Bedford, Ind. Died of cerebro spinal meningitis October 14, 1918, in France. BARTON, ROY W. SERGEANT Son of David and Molly Barton was born July 5, 1892, Mitchell, Lawrence County, Ind. Laborer. Served a three year enlistment in U.S. Regular Army; discharged. Re-enlisted April 20, 1917. . Killed in action October 9, 1918, during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Cited by his commanding officer for bravery in action.

Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army October 3, 1915.  Killed in action October 3, 1918, Champagne Front, France. BLACKWELL, NOBLE PRIVATE  Son of Robert and Lucy Hall Blackwell was born April 22, 1896, near Mitchell, Lawrence County, Ind. . Entered service June 28, 1918. Contracted influenza while on ship, and died October 7, 1918, Brest, France. Buried in American Cemetery, Finistere, Brest. BOCK, FRED EUGENE - - - PRIVATE, U.S.M.C. Son of Jacob F. and Amanda A. Bock was born July 22, 1895, Bedford, Ind.. Enlisted in U.S. Marine Corps in August, 1916, Died June 12, 1918 from wounds received in Battle of Chateau-Thierry.

Survived by widow, Ethel Chaney Bridges, Kurtz, Jackson County, Ind. CALOMIRIS, WILLIAM PRIVATE Son of Spiro and Helen Calomiris; born in January, 1891, Sparta, Greece. . Entered service February 16, 1918, Bedford, Ind.  Later transferred to Toledo, Ore., where he died of pneumonia December 30, 1918. Buried in Piqua, Ohio.
