Ill. Transferred to New York: assigned to the Battleship Arizona. Died
of meningitis July 7, 1917, Naval Hospital, Norfolk, Va. Buried in
Liberty Churchyard, Martin County, Ind.

Promoted to Corpora1. Sent to Army and Navy General Hospital, Hot
Springs, Ark., where he died of tuberculosis November 5, 1917. Buried
in South Park Cemetery, Martinsville, Ind.

January 15, 1889, near Martinsville, Morgan County, Ind. Farmer.
Enlisted in U.S. Regular Army October 28, 1911. Sent to Columbus
Barracks, Ohio; then to Huachuca, Ariz; later to Nogales, Ariz.
Re-enlisted November 1914, in Wagon Supply Company, 20th Infantry, Ft.
Bliss, Tex. While serving as wagoner between Ft. Bliss and El Paso,
contracted pneumonia and died, March 8, 1917, Ft. Bliss, Tex. Buried in
Duckworth Cemetery, Morgan County, Ind.

October 20, 1895, Ingalls, Madison County, Ind. Moved to Morgan County
in 1899. Farmer. Entered service July 26, 1918, Nashville, Ind. Sent to
Camp Taylor, Ky. Transferred to Camp McClellan, Ala.; assigned to
Battery A, 36th Field Artillery. Died of disease January 20, 1919, Camp
McClellan, Ala. Buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Morgan County, Ind.

Culmer; born January 8, 1890, Martinsville, Ind. Attended Indiana and
Illinois State Universities. Railroad employee. Entered service
November 27, 1917, Indianapolis, Ind. Trained at Pittsburg, Pa.,
Chicago, Ill. Transferred to Camp Mineola, Long Island; assigned to
Aviation Section, Signal Corps, 816th Aero Squadron. Killed in
aeroplane accident July 9, 1918, Mineola, Long Island. Buried at
Martinsville, Ind.

April 4, 1888, Monrovia, Morgan County, Ind. Attended Valparaiso
University. City salesman for Schnull & Company, Indianapolis, Ind.
Entered service September 22, 1917, Indianapolis. Sent to Camp Taylor,
Ky. Transferred to Camp Sherman, Ohio; assigned to Company L, 334th
Infantry, 84th Division. Overseas September, 1918. Died of pneumonia
October 10, 1918, near Razac, France. Buried at Perigueux, Dordogne,
France. American Legion Post. Monrovia, Ind., named the Suit-Dillon

born August 31, 1895, Mooresville, Morgan County, Ind. Conductor.
Enlisted in U.S. Marines June, 1917. Trained at Parris Island, and
Quantico, Va. Assigned to 97th Company, 6th Regiment, 2nd Division,
U.S. Marines. Killed in action October 13, 1919 (Place of burial not
known.)
FOLEY, RALPH MORTON - - - Private
Son of Henry D. and Millie J. Foley;
born February 2, 1898, Garrett, Douglas County, Ill. Moved to Morgan
County, Ind., in 1915. Farmer. Enlisted in Company G, Illinois National
Guard, August 16, 1917 (Company G, 130th Infantry). Sent to Jefferson
Barracks, Mo. Transferred to Effingham, Ill. Sent to Camp Logan, Tex.,
where he was killed February 13, 1918, by two Negro prisoners whom he
was guarding. Buried at Hall, Morgan County, Ind.

January 2, 1899, Martinsville, Ind. Canning factory employee. Enlisted
in Company K, 1st Infantry, Indiana National Guard (Company K, 151st
Infantry) August 14, 1917. Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss.; assigned to
Replacement Draft. Sailed for France in May 1918. Assigned to Company
B, 101st Infantry, 26th Division. Died of wounds October 24, 1918
received in Meuse-Argonne Offensive.

1918, Martinsville, Ind. Sent to Minneapolis, Minn.; transferred to

disease September 24, 1918, Camp Devens. Buried in Hilldale Cemetery,
Martinsville, Ind.

Sherman, Ohio. Buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Morgan

5th Limited Service Regiment. Died of influenza October 5, 1918, Camp
Grant, Ill. Buried at Morgantown, Ind.

service June 27, 1918, Martinsville, Ind. Sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio;

Camp Mills, N.Y. Overseas September 2, 1918. Died of pneumonia at Camp
Hospital No. 78, Chateau Razac, France, October 20, 1918. Buried in
Grave No. 536, American Cemetery, La Roche, Dordogne, France.

May 22, 1918. Killed in action October 18, 1918, near Metz. Buried in
Cemetery at Verdun, France.

of pneumonia November 4, 1918, Camp Jackson, S. C. Buried in
Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville, Ind.

159th Depot Brigade. Died of pneumonia September 16, 1918, Camp Taylor,
Ky.

transferred to Headquarters Company, 151st Infantry. Overseas June,
1918; assigned to Headquarters Company, 162nd Infantry. Transferred to
Company I, 23rd Infantry, 2nd Division. Killed in action October 12,

the Wyoming, then the Arkansas, and later to the Mississippi. Died of
pneumonia at Navy Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y. January 22, 1919. Buried in
Mt. Nebo Cemetery, near Martinsville, Ind.
