Rockville, IN. Oct  5, 1897.   The trial of Dr. W.R.  Stout, for criminal practice, came to an end yesterday. The day was taken up in speeches, A. B. Anderson of Crawfordsville; Charles McCabe, of Covington, and S. D. Pruett of Rockville, spoke for the defendant, while William Whittington, prosecutor of Montgomery County, had the closing arguments for the prosecution. The court room was crowded to hear the arguments on both sides. The jury was instructed at 4 o’clock and was out over night, and this morning, about 10 o’clock, announced its failure to agree and was discharged by Judge A. F. Two boys, George Kelley and Tip Beony, went blackberrying last Thursday, After going a few miles from their town—Bridgeton, Parke county—they hitched their horse and left it, and have not since been seen. They were tracked to Tuttle's Mill, where they spent the night, but beyond that no trace of them has been discovered.  They left home in  their shirt sleeves. - Indianapolis Sentinel, 05 August 1872 - shared by Barb Ziegenmeyer
