PATTERSON
Tuesday night, at 11 o’clock, James Patterson, an old and most highly esteemed citizen of Armiesburg, Parke County, died of la grippe. He was a half brother of Mrs. Anna Patterson and Mrs. Sarah Demming, of this city. He lived here from 1840 to 1856 and then removed to Armiesburg, where he has resided eve since- Terre Haute Gazette. ” - Rockville Tribune, December 31, 1891
PENFIELD
Died - On the 4th inst., at Leavenworth City, Kansas, at the residence of his Grandfather, Col. W. G. Coffin, Harry P., son of A. S. and J. C. Penfield, aged nearly sixteen months.” - Parke County Republican, June 15, 1864
PRICE
We notice with sorrow the announcement of the death of our fellow-townsmen John T. Price. He died at Goshen, Ind., in December last. He leaves a wife but no children. - Rockville Republican, January 10, 1883

The mortality among our old citizens lately has been very great: The deaths are recalled of Mrs. Harry Boyd, of Nyesville; Alex Buchanan, of Judson; Abram Collings of Green township; Alex Puett, Miss Jane Gilkerson, Mrs. Mary Whipple, Jas. S. Rogers and Mrs. Dr. W. D. Thomas, of Rockville. These were all in the neighborhood of the three score and ten limit and several of them four score years of age. – Rockville Republican, December 12, 1894

PURCELL
Mrs. Margaret Purcell died of consumption at her home in the northern part of town Tuesday, Feb. 26, and was buried Thursday in Barnes’ cemetery. This makes the fourth death in that family in less than a year. Her husband, Wm. Purcell, died about four months ago.” - Unknown newspaper, February 10, 1892
