MARRIAGE NEWS
Wells County
Ossian, Indiana, January 2. – The marriage of Vance C. Wilson, youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Wilson, of Ossian, and Miss Marie Roe, took
place at 7 o’clock on New Year’s eve at the home of Miss Roe’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. George Roe, of Zanesville.
The ceremony was performed in the presence of the two immediate
families by Rev. Mr. Songrave, of the Zanesville Church.
The occasion was unique in that the fathers were the attendants.
Mr. Wilson held the rank of sergeant in the late war and saw more
service that --- of service in France, being stationed for several
months at Tours, where he was employed in clerical work. He now
holds a position in the office of the General Electric works at Fort
Wayne, where Miss Roe has also been employed.
The young couple expects to go to housekeeping at once in a home on the
corner of Fairfield Avenue and Williams Street, Fort Wayne.
An in fare dinner was given New Year’s day at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Cyrus Wilson. About thirty guests were present.
