June 11,1919 Minor Accidents in Northeastern Indiana
Columbia City, IN. 6-11-1919
Mrs. Joseph Snyder was badly cut about the face and was otherwise bruised and other occupants of the car narrowly escaped in jury when a Chevrolet car, driven by Mr. Snyder ran into a bridge railing Monday evening at a point about 5 ½ miles north of this city at the Dillon Yontz farm. Joseph Snyder, his wife and son, Ralph & Mrs. Edwin Pook and baby, of South Whitely, were driving home from White Pigeon, Mich. Where the had been visiting relatives. The light of the auto which was approaching was such that it forced Mr. Snyder in the ditch. When he got back into the road he did not see the bridge, and bumped into it. Mrs. Snyder ran her head through the windshield and suffered a cut on the nose, which required a couple stitches. They were brought to this city. The remaining occupants of the car escaped any serious hurts. When the wound was dressed the party left for their home at Tunker. The car was but slightly damaged.
