I, Isac N. Griffith of Carroll County and State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory
and of full age do hereby make and ordain this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former will by me
made.
I. I direct the payment of all just and lawful claims against my estate from cash on hand,
credits, rents or the sale of my personal property;
II. I give and bequeath to my dear wife, Cordelia L. Griffith the use of the Homestead
where we reside during her natural life and the net income proceeds and profits including rental of all my real
estate while she remains my widow. I direct that my executors collect the rents, proceeds and profits aforesaid,
pay all taxes on my estate, keep up repair and pay for same and any other legitimate expenses in connection with
the business of properly looking after the same, and pay over to my said wife the balance of such rents and profits
for her use and support while she remains my widow as aforesaid.
It is my wish that whatever account of money that may accumulate in her hands from these
balances more than she may use that the same shall be loaned out or invested by my Executors in their names as
Trustees for the benefit of my estate.
III. I direct that after the death of my wife all that remains of my estate shall be sold
and the proceeds divided among my children or if they or any of them be dead the surviving children of such deceased
heir shall take their parents share equally ????? their share and share alike.
I have advanced to my daughter Hannah A. Hestwood the sum of $150.00 and I give and bequeath
to her one Eighth of the net proceeds of the sale of my said remaining estate less such advancements.
I have advanced to my son Benjamine (sic) B. Griffith the sum of $275.00 and should this
sum be less than 1/8th of the net proceeds of the sale of my estate, I direct that after this advancement is deducted
that the remainder be paid to him if anything.
I have advanced to my son John H. Griffith the sum of $500.00 and I direct that he be paid
the 1/8th of the net proceeds of my estate less the sum advanced as stated above.
I direct that the 1/8th of my estate (net proceeds) be paid to my son James E. Griffith
(no advancements having been made to him).
I direct that to my son Eli P. Griffith be paid the 1/8th of the net proceeds of the sale
of my estate.
I direct that 1/8th of the net proceeds of my estate be paid to my daughter Helen E. Barger
less the sum of $50.00 advanced to her and that 1/8th be paid to my daughter Charity Charity (sic) E. Aikin (sic)
less $150.00 advanced to her and to my son Isaac N. Griffith, Jr. be paid 1/8th of the net proceeds of my estate
less $75.00 advanced to him.
I give and bequeath to J. E. Griffith my gold watch with the understanding that should
William Hestwood at any time wish to redeem the same, he may pay to the sum of $30.00 and take the watch.
I give and bequeath to I. N. Griffith, Jr. my Gold headed cane and to B. B. Griffith my
diamond willow cane and to H. A. Hestwood my speckticles & my mothers old family bible
and to J. H. Griffith my Masonic relicts
and to Eli my tobacco box & pocket book
and to Helen Barger my rocking chair
and to Ella Akin my Easy Parlor Chair
these items and things may be given to the persons last above named by my Executors at any time after my death.
I hereby constitute and appoint my son, J. E. Griffith and my wife Cordelia L. Griffith
as Executors of this my last will and testament and request that they be fully empowered to carry out the intent
and purposes of this will without hands the surviving of these Executors to finish up and complete the trust above.

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereof subscribed by Isaac N. Griffith in our
presence and he at the same time declared it to be his last will and testament and by his request we signed our
names both in his presence and in the presence of each other.
