A large crowd attended the dance held Friday evening at the opera house in honor of Irving Jacobsen, who is home
on a 30-day furlough from the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The evening was spent dancing. Music was furnished
by Hazel and her band.

Norbert Tracy
A farewell party was given to Norbert Tracey at his home, and a wrist watch was presented to him. He left Saturday
for training camp. His twin brother, Robert, is also in training in California.
Fritz Alden
Last Thursday evening Mrs. Eleanor Alden received a telephone call from her son, Fritz, who is in the U. S. Navy.
His ship in to port near New York City, and he is well.

Left Thursday morning of this week for Mason City where they have been inducted into the U.S. Army via Selective
Service. The three young men will go later to Des Moines for further instruction and examinations.
