Pioneers Claimed By Death

Winterset.—Nine pioneer residents of Madison county have died, within the last week, their deaths being hastened by the epidemic of grip that has prevailed in this vicinity.

They were:
A. J. Rollitin, who came to Madison county in 1857;
Daniel McConlee, resident of the county since 1856;
David Griffith, who came here in 1865;
Robert McCalman, large farm owner who had lived near here since 1868;
Peter Moore, who came here in 1852 and was 91 years old;
Mary J. Griswold, who had lived here since 1865;
Elizabeth Duff, who came here in 1859;
James Thompson, resident of the county for fifty-five years;
John F. Ivins, who had been here a quarter of a century.
