Jan. 21st, 1884 - Architect John C. Cochrane of Chicago is selected
to make plans for the new courthouse in Marshall County
Nov. 25, 1884 - The cornerstone was laid. Local contractors were Legrand Quarry Co,
Banzhaf & Atkinson for stone & mason work and D.E. Townsend, carpentry & glazing.
