Welcome to Plymouth County, Iowa Genealogy Trails!

Volunteers Dedicated to Free Genealogy

NEW DATA ADDED ON A MONTHLY BASIS
CHECK BACK OFTEN!

Our glossary word of the month is - "CONESTOGA"

. . . a heavy duty, canvas covered wagon that hauled freight or family possessions over rough terrain, pulled by oxen or large horses.
These wagons were used before railroads were built and could carry a six to eight ton load.

Our goal at Genealogy Trails is to help you track your ancestors through time by transcribing genealogical and historical data and placing it online for the free use by all researchers.

My name is Mary Kay, your Plymouth County Host, I hope you enjoy your visit to Genealogy Trails and welcome your comments, suggestions and of course, your data contributions! If you have an obituary, biography, burial or other family or county history to share, please send an   email.

If you enjoy volunteering but need a flexible schedule, Genealogy Trails may be a perfect fit.
At Genealogy Trails We're looking for folks who share our dedication of putting data online and if you think you might be interested in hosting a county or state website, or transcribing data, visit our Volunteer Information Page
