1873 Bible of Numarian H. Kell(e)y

The 1873 Bible of Numerian H. Kell(e)y shows Council Bluffs births and other dates for my great-grandfather and two great-grand-aunts of mine, all children of Numerian H. Kell(e)y (born 22 March 1836, Springfield, Ohio; died 2 February 1906, Salem Township, Dunklin County, Missouri) and Christenia Shadden (born 16 April 1848, Putnam County, Missouri; married 21 January 1861 [where?]; died May 1884 [where?]):

William H. Kell(e)y, born 10 July 1869; married [ca.1893] Nancy McMinn, Dunklin County, Missouri (she died there 3 February 1902); he died there 3 February 1901; 2 sons, Hersel Berley Kelley (born there 21 September 1894) and William Guy Kelley (born there later).

Josephine E. Kell(e)y (nicknames Josie, Jose), born 16 March 1872; married 25 July 1893 John McGehee, Dunklin County, Missouri; she died there in 1950s, he died there earlier; 3 sons, Lee McGehee, Charles McGehee ("birth certificate No. 21137"), and Eddie Gilbert McGehee (birth certificate No. "11440"). From 1902, Josephine and John also reared the orphans Berley (my grandfather) and William Kelley.

Mary T. Kell(e)y (nickname Molly), born 29 August 1874; married Samuel Goodwin? (Bible entry erased).

The other children of Numerian H. Kell(e)y and Christenia Shadden were not born in Council Bluffs. They were as follows, based on the Bible record:

Minnie O. Kell(e)y, born 14 November 1876, Howard City, Elk County, Kansas; married 25 July 1893 [Dunklin County, Missouri; same date as Josephine and John McGehee] Birt Driskell; children Nettie A. Driskell, died 5 August 1896; Cora Lee Driskell, born 13 August 1898, Dunklin County, Missouri (living in San Francisco in 1930s).

Dorothy E. Kell(e)y (nickname Dollie), born 4 February 1879 (place not given); married 30 October 1898 Sidney W. Caldwell; living in Searcy, Arkansas, in 1950s.

Daisy D. Kell(e)y, born 6 August 1882 (place not given); married but information not currently known. SUBMITTED BY: William B. Kelley
