Gregg Cemetery - Garner Township

The land around this area was owned by J.H. Gregg in the 1885 Pottawattamie County Atlas. There is a Joshua H. Gregg that is buried here. This was probably a private cemetery as it is shown in the atlas and there are burials there as early as 1867. The gravel road straight south of Hazel Dell Cemetery, about two miles, leads to the Gregg Cemetery. It is about 1/4 mile down a farm lane to a hilltop with evergreen trees. It is a small fenced area. The best time to go there would be around Memorial Day, as the lane is mowed and so is the cemetery. The last burial appears to be around 1924 according to the stones.
