Celestia M., wife of Mansel Wicks, died at 11:30 yesterday morning at the family residence 317 North First Street. The deceased was 73 years of age, and has resided in this city since 1849. She was married at Burton, Ohio and removed to Council Bluffs with her husband in 1849.

Ten children were born to her. Besides her husband she leaves four grown daughters and two sons, namely: Warren a resident of Texas, Norris of Chicago; Mrs. Ida Able, Mrs. Norah Ross, Mrs. Haute, the later of Columbus, Nebraska and Miss Ada Wicks of this city.

Most of the children were at the bedside of their mother when she died. Mrs. Haute arrived at the parental home a few minutes after her mother expired. In their sad bereavement the relatives have the sympathy of the community where Mrs. Wicks has lived so many years honored and respected by all. The announcement of the funeral will be made later.

The funeral of Mrs. Mansel Wicks will be held tomorrow afternoon from the residence, 317 North First. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.

Norris Wicks returned from Chicago yesterday to attend the funeral of his mother. His father and brother from Texas are expected today.
