Our goal is helping you find your ancestors by placing data online for the Free use of all researchers.  We are proud to expand Kansas with Atchison County, providing our "experience" gained from years of researching our ancestors and website hosting.  We want to hear about you and the history of your ancestors from this beautiful State. Named after a Missouri senator, David R. Atchison, this county was one of the original thirty-three created by the first Territorial legislature, in 1855.
Famous flyer, Amelia Earhart was born July 24, 1897 in Atchison.
Atchison is the largest population center and the county seat; besides the incorporated cities listed on the left, other communities include: Arrington, Cummings, Dalbey, Farmington, Good Intent, Hawthorne, Kennekuk, Larkinburg, Monrovia, Oak Mills, Pardee, Parnell, Port Williams, Potter, St. Pats and Shannon
