CULHANE---Mrs. Eleanor R.,
age 52, of Garland, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 13th. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday
at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Moeder, J.C.D., officiating. There will be a recitation
of the Rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Our Chapel of Memories, Flanegan-Hunt Mortuary. Final resting place will be
in Calvary Cemetery, Augusta, Kansas. Free mortuary parking in lighted lot north of the mortuary.

Mary Arredondo, 85, retired
nurse's aide at Walnut Valley Nursing Home, Augusta, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009.
Visitation 12-1 p.m. and service 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will
be at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta.
Mary was born in El Dorado on March 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Michael and Andrea Ramirez Valdez. On Sept.
13, 1947 she married Joe Arredondo in El Dorado and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by
a son, John Arredondo.
She is survived by: son, Joe Arredondo and wife Patty of Wichita; daughter, Dolores Burrows and husband David of
Augusta; brother, Raymond Valdez of Wichita; daughter- in-law, Jan Arredondo; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Thomas K. "Kip" Albright,
54, behavior support specialist, Wichita, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011.
The funeral mass was held Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover.
Survivors: parents, Ted and JoAnn Albright of Towanda; sisters, Cindy Nesler (Dennis) of Augusta, and Susan Paugh
(Holly) of Towanda; brothers, Peter Albright (Albert Sanchez) of Wichita and Tad Albright (Linda) of Rose Hill;
children, Nichole Baker (Marc) and expected grandchild, all of Park City, Trevor Albright and Brooke Albright,
both of Assaria; mother of Nichole, Wanda Evans; mother of Trevor and Brooke, Sheri Albright.
Preceded in death by his brother, Tim Albright.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Thomas K. Albright Memorial Fund, c/o Emprise Bank,
406 S. Andover Rd., Andover, KS, 67002.

Joseph Lee Logan, 85, Shawnee,
Kan., died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Bryan Lincoln General Hospital in Lincoln, Neb., surrounded by his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burlington.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery in Augusta, Kan.
A Rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington with visitation following.
Joe was a teacher, coach, and school administrator. He served in the United States Navy in World War II and the
Korean War as a Sonarman.
Joe was born August 26, 1925, in Sandersville, Miss., to Robert Lee and Ruby Estelle (Lightsey) Logan. He grew
up in Mississippi and spent time all over the Gulf Coast area. He had two sisters Nellene and Willey Sue and one
brother , Wallace who preceded him in death. He has one half-brother, Mike, of Laurel, Miss.
He joined the U.S. Navy in 1942, went to boot camp in San Diego, and served on ships all over the Pacific. He earned
his high school degree while serving in the Navy.
After his discharge from the Navy he attended McCook Junior College, McCook, Neb. He graduated with a B.S. in Education
from Kearny State Teacher's College, Kearney, Neb., and graduated with a Masters from Wichita State University,
Wichita, Kan.
In 1943, Joe met Mary Virginia Haag in Ogden, Utah. They were married December 30, 1943 in Ogden and were the parents
of seven children.
Joe's thirty-three year career in education began in 1956 in Chapman, Nebraska. He taught in several other locations
before becoming the Principal of the Burlington Grade School in 1970. He retired as Principal of the Burlington
Middle School in 1989.
His wife, Mary, preceded him in death on December 5, 2000. He was also preceded by his oldest daughter, Mary Joe,
who died as an infant.
He is survived by his sons Ron Logan, Cyrus Logan and wife Patricia, Madison, Kan., Joe Logan, Riverton, Minnesota,
and daughters, Belinda Ball, St. Joseph, Mo., LeAnne Thompson and husband Mike, Shawnee, Kan., and Ruby Kaniewski
and husband Kurt, Topeka, Kan.
Joe has 26 grandchildren, and 41 great-grandchildren
