CARLTON, WILL

Will Carlton, a young man whose home was formerly in Wichita, and who married Miss Ethel Sayre about a year ago, was shot and killed in Los Angeles, yesterday. He was a conductor on the Santa Fe. Miss Sayre, before her marriage made her home with Mr. and Mrs. James Watson and is well known here as a lovely young woman. A baby girl was born to them only a few weeks ago. CASSIDY, GILBERT "RED"

Gilbert "Red" Cassidy, 65, retired sanitation employee for the City of Augusta, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2007.

Memorial Service 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Gilbert was born in Leon on May 2, 1941, the son of the late Elbert John and Billy Jane (Burris) Cassidy. On September 16, 1978 he married Marie Cox in Newkirk, Okla. She survives.

Other survivors include: son, Nicholas A. Cassidy and his fiance' Rebecca of Augusta; daughters, Valerie Cassidy of Kansas City, and April Wheeler and her husband Robert of Augusta; grandchildren, Amber and Josh Wheeler, Faith and Victoria Goetzinger.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert John Cassidy II.

CLINE, DELORIS

Deloris Cline, 69, Augusta, beloved mother and "Nan" and long time Wal-Mart employee, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by: daughter, Kim Leonard of El Dorado; son and daughter-in-law, Darrin and Suzanne Cline, Goddard; daughter-in-law, Tammy Cline, Augusta; brother, Garry Van Buskirk, El Dorado, sister, Katherine Mitchell, Howard; grandchildren, Jared McClure, James (Leonard) Compton, Ashley Cline, Hannah Cline, and Holly Cline.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jackie Van Buskirk; son, Randy "Hoss" Cline.
