BUTLER COUNTY'S EIGHTY YEARS BIOS

CURTIS L. HARRIS

(Transcribed by Peggy Luce)

Tribute to El Dorado Lawyers

The will of the late T. A. Kramer paid a fine tribute to an El Dorado citizen when it named Curtis L. Harris to serve as administrator and as one of three trustees, without bond. The Kramer estate is a big one. Fulfillment of all the bequests disposing of the property and settling its affairs is a big task. The administrator will have his hands full. Mr. Harris is peculiarly well fitted to assume the job of administrator. That he has been selected by his old associate at the Butler County bar for this purpose to serve without bond is striking testimony to his fine character and integrity. El Dorado is peculiarly blessed with lawyers of great ability and excellent character. For years Mr. Harris has been one of the leaders of the Butler County bar. He has served ably in the Kansas senate. In his life and practice he represents the best elements of all. In this recent tribute his friends and neighbors can share with natural pride and satisfaction. – August 10, 1923.
