BUTLER COUNTY'S EIGHTY YEARS BIOS

J. B. McKAY

(Transcribed by Lori DeWinkler)

J. B. McKay was this week elected a member of the board of directors of the Citizens State Bank. He is a young man in his early thirties. To be honored by election to the board of so large and substantial an institution as the Citizens Bank indicates that he has unusual ability and trustworthiness. And he has. J. B. McKay came to El Dorado five and a half years ago fresh from law school. He began practicing law with Judge A. L. L. Hamilton, who has brought up by hand several of this town’s best lawyers. A year ago, he opened an office of his own. He is continuing to make good both in his private business and in the respect and esteem of his fellows.—January 3, 1923.
