BUTLER COUNTY'S EIGHTY YEARS BIOS

MRS. DAN WEIDMAN

(Transcribed by Peg Luce)

An end came to a beautiful life when Mrs. Dan Weidman reached the close of her journey. She was nearly four score in years. Three-fouths of her life had been spent in Kansas. She knew the state in its basic rawness as well as in later seasons of comfort and even luxury. Through all the years and changing scenes she was the same – an unpretentious, earnest-minded, God-fearing woman who did her duty by family and friends, who served in humble ways and yet who never failed in loyalty to any task. She and her husband, who preceded her in death five years, have left a golden record of simple piety and kindly deeds that is more enduring than granite shafts.

In all her ways, Mrs. Weidman typified this character of whom it was written: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” – April 20, 1928.
