EASLEY, FRANK
Frank Easley, 1894-1964
Shortly after the last echo and re-echo of Taps was heard as the bugler played the soldiers farewell, the body of Frank W. Easley was lowered to its final resting place beneath the clodded-sod covered over with lovely, colorful flowers.
We had known Frank all our life and he often came in and visited with us at the office. He often related stories of his younger years, he often talked of his hopes and dreams. He was so filled with happy plans of his new home near Madison when we last talked to him. He was like a child with a new toy, bubbling over with the excitement of a new home.
Frank was a proud father and often boasted lovingly of his children, telling us of their achievements, their failures and dreams. He was devoted to his wife and home. Each year since their wedding anniversary in 1942, he presented her a gift of silver dollars, one for each year. He was looking forward to that golden year when he planned to present her with a $50 gold piece. But God willed it otherwise and that dream ended with his death Jan. 9th.
Frank Easley was a friendly man and an honest one, and he will be sadly missed from his community by loved ones and friends. (El Dorado Times, 1964)
