ROSE HILL – Daley, Brandon Lee, age 19, passed away as a result of a tragic accident on Friday, May 11, 2007. Brandon was very community oriented in Rose Hill. He was a member of the Rose Hill United Methodist Church, President and Lieutenant of the Rose Hill Police Explorers, #2627, SADD President and a Volunteer Firefighter with BCFD #3. He graduated from Rose Hill High School, the class of 2005, and was attending Butler County Community College, where he was studying as an EMT student and taking Firefighter I classes. He was also a Bank Teller at Intrust Bank of Derby. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Christina Daley, his sister, Candice Daley, God-Brother, Greg Robertson, all of Rose Hill, grandparents, Gerald and Rosalee Capps, Lucille Daley, all of Wichita, many aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Also, his special Dachsie friends, Sammie, and Kissie, and Dalra, “Hey Dad, I love you!” The visitiation with the family will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, in the Garden Chapel of Watson Reflection Pointe, with services scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill United Methodist Church. FRENCH, CORDELL W. “CORY”

Firefighter French and the members of his fire department participated in a drill involving hose line usage, map training, and vehicle maintenance. The drill was completed at approximately 1600hrs. Firefighter French returned home and suffered a heart attack at approximately 2000hrs. Fellow firefighters responded and provided treatment for Firefighter French. Despite their efforts, Firefighter French was pronounced dead at 2130hrs as the result of a heart attack.
JOHNSON, JASON ALLEN

Firefighter Johnson responded to 2 emergency incidents on the morning of January 14, 2006. His response to the first emergency ended at the fire station when the incident response was cancelled. Firefighter Johnson's second emergency response was to a wildland fire where he performed very strenuous tasks for approximately 1 hour. After returning home and cleaning up from the wildland fire, Firefighter Johnson left home with members of his family to complete errands. Less than an hour after returning from his second emergency incident, Firefighter Johnson collapsed in his personal vehicle and became unresponsive. Firefighter Johnson was removed from his vehicle, CPR was initiated, and EMS was called. Upon the arrival of EMS responders, an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) was applied but advised that no shock was indicated. Paramedics arrived and provided ALS (Advanced Life Support) level assistance. Firefighter Johnson was transported to the hospital. Despite all of these efforts, Firefighter Johnson was pronounced dead at 1626hrs. Firefighter Johnson's death was likely caused by a cardiac condition. ROSE HILL - Johnson, Jason Allen, 28, loving husband, father and son, passed away Saturday Jan. 14, 2006. Jason was born in Morrison, Ill., on April 25, 1977. He was the son of Richard and Michelle (Conley) Johnson. He worked as a Hand Form Operator at D-J Engineering and a volunteer firefighter for Butler County District 3. He had served in the U.S. Army as well. On July 3, 2000 he married Jennifer Boman in Wichita. She survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Trevor Johnson, Rose Hill, Kyle Kwater, Port Richey, FL; daughter, Jacinda Kwater, Port Richey, FL; parents, Richard and Michelle Johnson; brother, Sean Johnson; grandparents, David and Mary Lou Johnson; aunt, Cathy and Rod Eversoll; uncle, Ron and Paula Johnson, all of Clinton, Iowa; mother-in-law, Rebecca Rierson; sister-in-law, Amanda Rierson; grandparents-in-law, Edward and Gwendolyn Bunyard, all of Rose Hill; 5 cousins and several great aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Gladys Conley and great-grandmothers, Mary Conley, Lillian Johnson and Great-Grandma Lou. Visitation will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. until the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Mass 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, St. Mary's Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark, Derby, KS.
