Died August 21, Mrs. Mary (Howard) Ide, at her daughter, Mrs. Carl Matthew’s home. She had resided at the Matthew’s for the past six years, coming here from Texas. Her body was shipped to Lampassa, Texas for burial. (Independent, August 28, 1947)

Died Sept. 25, Herman Ingold, son of Otto and Magdalene Ingold, in an auto accident. Married to Maude Louise Neville. Survived by his wife, parents and five sisters: Mrs. Fred Mosiman, Mrs. John Zuercher, Clara, Mrs. C. J. Smith and Mrs. Pete Befus. (Independent, August 29, 1938)
