Seminole, Okla. Wilmer E. Kennedy, 86, died Thursday, June 7, 1990 at Seminole Municipal Hospital. Services 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole.
Mr. Kennedy was born February 18, 1904 in Monet, Mo., the son of John and Dora Kennedy. He and his wife, Lydia were married December 31, 1953 in Duncan, Okla.
He was a retired pumper of Marathon Oil Company and a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole.
Survivors include his wife: three daughters, Lorraine Livingston of Vandalia, Ohio, Nadine Potts of Homony, Okla., and Wilma Swanson of Seminole; two brothers, Minnen of Wagner, Okla., and Oliver of Homedale, Ohio; two sisters, Ella Nicely of Inola, Okla., and Thelma Alexander of Muskogee, Okla., 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two brothers, and one sister.

Eileen L. Kilgore, 52 of 125 North Arthur, died Wednesday at the Halstead Hospital. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kirby Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
Mrs. Kilgore was born April 12, 1922 in Drumright, Okla., the daughter of Ezekiel and Cheadle Burgess Beck. She married Alvin I. Kilgore Feb. 25, 1948 in Newkirk, Okla. She came to the El Dorado area in 1948 from Newkirk and was employed by Beech Aircraft Company.
She was a member of the Living Water Chapel, V. F. W. Auxiliary, International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Union, and the Beechcrafters Employees club. She was one of the top women bowlers in the El Dorado area.
Survivors include her husband Alvin of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Earlene Carlisle of El Dorado, a step son Alfred E. Kilgore of Spring Valley, Calif., two brothers, Benny Beck, 1824 Jamaica, and Everett J. Beck of Wichita and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. KINNEY, LOIS BEULAH (MRS. ALVIN)
Services for Mrs. Alvin Thomas (Lois Beulah) Kinney, 68, of Midwest City, Okla., a former resident of El Dorado, were held on April 8 at the Paylor Funeral Home of Midwest City.
She was born Feb. 13, 1907 in Waldron and was married to Alvin Thomas Kinney on Feb. 18, 1932.
The Rev. Enzy Oaks officiated the service in the Paylor Funeral Home Chapel and also sang Will the Circle be Unbroken and How Great Thou Art.
Survivors include the widower, Alvin of the home, three daughters, Mrs. Edwin Turner (Lois) of Searcy, Ark., Mrs. Bartley Hogoboom (Pat) of El Dorado, and Mrs. Robert Chestnut (Jackie) of Topeka; two sons, Jimmie Jack Kinney and Jack Edward King, both of Midwest City, two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Rice of Fort Worth and Mrs. Velma Cooper of Great Bend; three brothers, Ernest E. Jones and R. Keith Jones both of El Dorado and Glen Jones of McPherson; six grandsons, eight granddaughters, and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by one son, Max Harold King, and two grandsons.
Burial was in the Walnut Valley Memorial Cemetery of El Dorado. (El Dorado Times, April 12, 1975)
Evelyn Hofstetter Knapp, 80, of El Dorado, died Friday evening, May 13, 1994 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Dennis Kuder will officiate at the services.
She was born Feb. 16, 1914 in Eureka, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Lorena (Gregg) Bilson. She attended school in Eureka graduating from the Eureka High School. On Feb. 15, 1936, she and Harvey A. Hofstetter, Sr., were married in Wichita. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1971. On June 5, 1975, she married William Bill Knapp. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1993. Evelyn came to El Dorado in 1936. She was a homemaker. For many years she served as a leader of both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a life member of the Washington School PTA . She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Rebekah Circle and the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include sons, Harvey Hofstetter, Jr. of Topeka, and Dennis D. Hofstetter of Wichita, daughters, Lorena Wiley of El Dorado, Carolyn McHugh, of Springfield, Mo., brother, Herald Bilson of Barstow, Calif., nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church. Contributions may be left with the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home who has the arrangements. (El Dorado Times, May 16, 1994)
Sherrie Lea Koehn, 37, of Burns, died Friday, Dec. 2, 1994. Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Eden Mennonite Church, rural Burns. Officiating the services will be Tobe Koehn, Lowell Koehn and Vernon Koehn. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Oct. 10, 1957, in Burns, the daughter of Hermon Koehn and Luvina Smith. She was a life long resident of Burns and a member of the Eden Mennonite Church.
Survivors, include parents, Hermon and Luvina Koehn; brothers, Robert of Solomon, Gilbert of Galva, Chester, Roger both of Burns, Laurel of Farmington, Ky.

A. H. Kropf Jr., 70, of El Dorado, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 1994. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Friday at Kirby Morris Funeral Home. Cremation preceded the services.
He was born Feb. 27, 1924 in El Dorado, the son of A. H. and Helen (Patton) Kropf. On November 19, 1942 he and Dixie Hope Hackler were married. He lived in the Butler County area all of his life and was a farmer and stockman.
Survivors include: sons, John of Meade, Eldon of Leon, daughter, Ramona Myers of Meade; two sisters, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Florence Burchett Kropf, 91, of El Dorado, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 12, 1994, at a local nursing home. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Kirby Morris Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 18, 1902, in Stanleyville, Ohio to Jacob Pfaff and Lucinda Phoebe Becker and lived in this area most of her life. In July, 1924, she and William Burchett were married. He died in 1951. She married Arthur Kropf in June, 1953. He died in 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Evelyn Kline of Garfield, Ark., three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother.

Services for Florence Burchett Kropf were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kirby Morris Funeral Home. Burial was in Sunset Lawns Cemetery and Rev. Dick Sipe officiated the services. She died Wednesday afternoon.
Casket bearers were John Kropf, Eldon Kropf, Richard Kline, Darrel Bentley, Glen Berry and Tyler Kropf. Marge Marsh played the organ. The songs You Are My Sunshine and In the Garden were performed.
She was born Aug. 18, 1902, in Stanleyville, Ohio to Jacob and Lucinda Pfaff and moved to El Dorado in 1937. She worked at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughter, Evelyn Kline of Garfield, Ark.; stepson, Junior Kropf, two stepdaughters, Clara hackler, Opal Lewellen, three grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; 21 step great grandchildren one great great grandchild., 11 step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands William Burchett and Arthur Kropf, a brother, Carl Pfaff, and stepson, Melvin Kropf.

Scott City William J. Kuhn, 75, died Tuesday, April 10, 1990 at Scott County Hospital.
Scripture service and prayer, 7 p.m. tonight, Price & Sons Funeral Home of Scott City; Liturgy of Words, 10:30 a.m. Friday, St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Father George Mueller will officiate. Burial follows at Scott County Cemetery.
Memorial is with VIP Senior Citizens Center.
Mr. Kuhn was born June 25, 1914 at Loretta and was a retired farmer. He lived in Scott City since 1967.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.
He married Frances Kuhn, May 12, 1936 at Loretta. She survives along with one son, Kenneth of Garden City; two daughters, Darlene Clemons of El Dorado, Alice Anderson of Aurora, Colo., one brother, Marvin Kuhn of Wichita; three sisters, Josie Herrman and Albertine Munsch, both of Hays and Mary Unrein of Mead, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Norma M. Kulander, 91, of Virgil died Monday, March 5, 1990 at Madison Manor Nursing Home where she had lived recently. She was the Virgil correspondent of The News for many years until her sight failed.
She was born April 2, 1898, at Neal, Kansas, the daughter of Edwin and Lula B. Harris. She was married to Laten J. Kulander on April 19, 1917 at Toronto, Kansas. He died December 15, 1985.
Mrs. Kulander was a lifetime resident of Greenwood County and a member of the Virgil United Methodist Church and the Royal Neighbors of America.
She is survived by four daughters, Betty M. Blair of Wichita, Katherine L. Dushane and Harriett I. Stowell of Sacramento, California, and Colleen Hoggatt of Virgil, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A brother and a sister also preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka. Inurnment of cremains will be in the Virgil cemetery.
A memorial in the name of Mrs. Kulander has been established at the Madison Manor. (El Dorado Times, May 8, 1990
