Landon Services Held Wednesday

Charles L. Landon, El Dorado, died Sunday at El Dorado.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Kirby chapel in El Dorado with Rev. Clayton W. Hildebrand in charge of the service.  Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Augusta.

Mr. Landon was born Nov. 4, 1886 at Derby.  He was united in marriage to Minnie Christen Aug. 18, 1921 at Wichita.  She survives.  Surviving children are four daughters, Mrs. Ruby Widener of Augusta; Mrs. Gladys Williams, North Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Margie Harrod, Haysville; and Mrs. Virginia Williams, El Dorado; also four sisters, three brothers and nine grandchildren.

Before moving to El Dorado 10 years ago, he lived in Spring township near Haverhill for nine years.  The rest of his life was spent in the Rose Hill community.
