BOLINGER, I. N.
Funeral services for I. N. Bolinger, 86, who died Friday morning were held Saturday from the Kirby Funeral Home
Chapel. The Rev. Doyle Patterson, pastor of the Temple Baptist Church officiated.
Calvin H. Friesen sang "Nearer by God to Thee," and "The Old Rugged Cross." The organist was
Mrs. H. W. bullerdiek.
Casket bearers were Vernon A. Bellanger, Raymond Krutsinger, E. L. Falkner, Page W. Benson, Harold E. Griffith
and Slade A. Boone.

COPELAND,
BENJAMIN F.
Benjamin F. Copeland, aged 65 years, 1009 North Main Street, died this morning following an illness of two months.
He had been employed by the Beech Aircraft Company at Wichita.
Mr. Copeland who had lived here ??? a half years, was born on November 21, 1876 in St. Clair County, Mo. He was
married on 1901 at Appleton City, Mo. He came to El Dorado from Iola. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mr. Copeland is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Edna Faye Bolin, Mrs. Georgia Smith and Mrs. Goldie
Rose Church, all of El Dorado, three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Lewellen, of Biggs, Calif., Mrs. Bertha McCoy, of Tucumcart,
N. M. and Mrs. Golda Layton of Maynord, N. Mex. And two brothers, James Copeland of Mullinsville, and John Copeland
of Iola.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Arnold-Kirby Funeral Home and interment will
be made in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery. Rev. Alvin W. Murray, pastor of the Methodist Church, will be in charge of

Funeral services for Benjamin F. Copeland, who died Friday were held Saturday afternoon at the Arnold-Kirby Funeral
Home with Rev. Alvin W. Murray, pastor of the Methodist Church, in charge. Burial was in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
The pallbearers included W. B. Brown, Harry Keesler, Charles Keesler, Charles King, P. O. Tarrant, Everett Needham
and R. I. Church, Mrs. H. L. Campbell played and sang, "Nearer My God To thee," and "The Old Rugged

DAVIDSON,
DUBERT C.
Funeral services for Dubert C. Davidson, 64 of Cassoday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cassoday United
Methodist Church.
A retired maintenance mechanic for the Kansas Turnpike, Mr. Davidson died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital at Wichita.
Mr. Davidson had lived at Cassoday since 1953, moving there from Wichita where he had lived for two years. Born
near Burlington on Aug. 5, 1905, he was married to Violet Johnson at El Dorado on Feb. 25, 1926. She preceded him
in death in 1953.
Mr. Davidson lived in El Dorado for several years prior to moving to Wichita. He was employed by the El Dorado
Refining Company from 1926 until 1941, and worked for the Boeing Company from 1951 until 1964. He was employed
by the Kansas Turnpike for four years prior to retiring in 1968.
Mr. Davidson was a member, of the Christian church at Sapulpa, Okla.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Harsh of 1825 Webb, a son, Marvin Davidson of Wichita and a sister, Mrs.
Helen Cornwell of Topeka. There are seven grandchildren.
The Rev. C. M. Nutter, staff member at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, will officiate at the services.
Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
The casket will be closed at the service. Friends may call at the Kirby Funeral Home before that hour. (El Dorado

DOERFLINGER,
CHARLES E.
Charles E. Doerflinger, 88, 307 North Taylor street, died this (Saturday) morning at Allen Memorial Hospital. He
had been in failing health the past six months.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dietz Colonial Chapel. Interment will be at Sunset Lawns
Cemetery.
A resident of El Dorado since 1926, he was born at Ree Heights, South Dakota, Sept. 18, 1885. He came here from
Nowata, Okla.
On Jan. 25, 1926, he was married to Mary Ellen Thompson at Independence, Kan. She survives him.
During his working years, he engaged in farming and retired in 1958.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and the men's Fellowship class of the church.
In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Maynard Weber, of Hays; one stepson, Merle
Thompson, 725 South Topeka street; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Dale Marzolf, of Ottawa, one brother, John Doerflinger,
Nowata, one sister, Mrs. Lorinda Bates, Vinita, Okla., four grandchildren;, one great-granddaughter, four step
grandchildren, and seven step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two stepsons, Wendell and Neal Thompson, six borthers and one sister. (El Dorado Times,

HOLLINSHEAD,
BLANCHE
Miss Blanche Hollinshead, 87, of 120 North Washington, a retired bookkeeper and resident of El Dorado 83 years,
died Sunday afternoon at Allen Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Kirby Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Bump, pastor
of the Augusta Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Born in Indiana on May 2, 1880, Miss Hollinshead came to El Dorado in 1884 from Indiana with her parents. During
her working career, she was employed as a bookkeeper by various local business firms. She worked for a time in
the Butler county register of deeds office prior to retiring in 1948. Since then, she had operated an income tax
service in her home.
Miss Hollinshead was a member of the First United Presbyterian church and the Business and Professional Women's
club.
Surviving are a niece Mrs. Helen Hill of Long Beach, Calif., five grandnieces, Mrs. Lila Brown of Anthony and four
residing in California; two grandnephews, Dale Hill of Wichita and Bill Lee of Oklahoma City, Okla. (El Dorado

FRANCIS MARIE
Francis Marie Miller, 64, of Topeka, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. at the Kirby Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Letha Wood,
pastor of the Living Waters chapel, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Born May 3, 1906 at El Dorado, she had lived most of her life here. She was a retired grocery clerk. She had resided
in Topeka for the past 15 years.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Stitzel of Wichita, and Mrs. Bernece A. Jones of 1201 South Summit. (El

MORROW,
LENA
Mrs. Lena Morrow, 83, of 1426 Douglas Road, died this morning at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Kirby Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Anthony Benigas,
pastor of the Assembly of God church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Born July 27, 1886 in Dallas County, Mo., she was married to Elverson Scott in January, 1900. He died in 1912.
She was later married to David E. Morrow on April 26, 1914. He died Dec. 12, 1950.
She had been a resident of El Dorado since 1927, coming here from Missouri.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Leona Wilson of 411 West Carr and Mrs. Helen Abernathy of 1426 Douglas Road,
three sons, Dale Morrow of 822 West Carr, Jack Morrow of Oklahoma City, and J. A. Scott of Republic, Mo., one sister,
Mrs. Elsie Miller of Independence, Kan.; one step-sister Mrs. Bertie Chastain of Bolivar, Mo.; 17 grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, one son, three brothers, and two sisters. (El Dorado Times, May 5,

STEPHENS,
DEA W.
Dea W. Stephens, 70, Route 1, El Dorado, died Monday at Allen Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday
at the Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Mr. Stephens was born Nov. 9, 1903 in Mountain View, Ark. He married Nellie Compton, May 28, 1938 in Berryville,
Ark. He has lived here since 1949 coming here from Kansas, Okla. He was a retired owner of the Stephen's Salvage
Company.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Hazell, Wichita, one son, Bill Stephens, 1521 Norwood,
one sister Mrs. Vadie Rogers, Fresno, Calif., and six grandchildren.
Kirby Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
A memorial has been established with the Cancer Society. (El Dorado Times, March 26, 1974)
WAMSER,
JOHAN (ANNA)
Mrs. Johan Wamser, (Anna), 78, died Friday March 14, at her home. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Maynard Church,
and Mr. Church, El Dorado route two. Services were held Saturday morning at St. John's Catholic Church. A rosary
was recited Friday evening at Dietz-Carlson Colonial Chapel.
Rev. Michael R. Blackledge officiated, Mrs. A. J. Brazil provided organ music. Casket bearers were Lewis W. Hughey,
C. L. "Bucky" Harris, Marvin Spencer, Jim Klontz, Sam Thompson and David Wardlaw. Interment was at Sunset
Lawns Cemetery.
Mrs. Wasmer was born September 14, 1896, at Hals, Germany. She married Johan Wamser who died in 1924. She had lived
here for 17-1/2 years moving here from Germany. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Maynard Church (Anna Marie), three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She
was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Dietz-Carlson funeral home was in charge of arrangements. (Butler County News, March 20, 1975)
WHITE,
RALPH B.
Mrs. Ralph B. White, 74, a resident of the Four Seasons Nursing Center here died at the center early today.
Mrs. White had lived in Augusta from 1943 until 1968 and previously resided in Drumright, Okla. She had been in
failing health for the past 12 years.
Mrs. White was born at Queenstown, Pa., on Oct. 9, 1894, and was married at Renfrew, PA., on Oct. 16, 1912. She
was a member of the Assembly of God at Augusta.
Surviving are her husband, a resident of the Four Seasons Nursing Center, and one sister, Mrs. Grace Irene Cameron,
Hayward, Calif.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Assembly of God in Augusta Thursday at 2 p.m The Rev. Paul A. Lewis,
pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.

WIMBERLY,
LEONA (ONA)
Mrs. Leona (Ona) Wimberly, 70, of El Dorado, Route 2, died here this morning at Allen Memorial Hospital after a
brief illness.
She was born at Long Lane Mo., on February 9, 1895 and her marriage to Oliver I. Wimberly took place there on January
14, 1914.
The couple came to Kansas from Missouri in 1920 and lived in the Towanda area until 1934 at which time they moved
to El Dorado. The family moved to the present address in 1948.
Mrs. Wimberly was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of El Dorado.
Surviving are her husband, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Snyder of El Dorado, Route 4; five sisters, Mrs.
Loretta Burd of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Carrie Little of Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Winnie Junkins of 836 North Taylor, El Dorado,
Mrs. Linnie Horner of Fulton, Mo., and Mrs. Minnie Phillips of Long Lane; two brothers, J. W. Hackler of Cassoday
and V. M. Hackler of Collins, Iowa. Three grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service will be held at the Kirby Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be made
in Sunset Lawns Cemetery. (El Dorado Times, September 15, 1965)
