SMITH, BERNADINE MARIE

Bernadine Marie Smith, 103, of Emporia died Sunday, May 25, 2003, at Vintage Manor.

Mrs. Smith worked at W.T. Grant's in Wichita before she retired.

She is survived by a son, Gilbert Smith of Neosho Rapids; a daughter, Wilma Balay of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Dunsford Funeral Home at Augusta. Burial will be in High Prairie Cemetery at Smileyberg. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials to Habitat for Humanity or to a charity of the donor's choice can be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 E. Fifth St., Augusta, KS 60710.
