She retired from Motorola as an assembler. Ada was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert K. Beard; son, Michael Beard; and her parents and 13 brothers and sisters.

Ronald attended grade school and high school in Potwin and graduated from El Dorado High School and Kansas State University with a B.S. degree. He married Lorieta Steiner on June 18, 1943, she died May 19, 1970. On Aug. 7, 1971 he married Wanda Ullum. He was a member of the Swiss Church and Gideons International.

Collingwood, Sally Rice, 70, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2007. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2007, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Sally was born in Newton, KS on May 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Ronald and Julia Rice. She spent her childhood years in Abilene, KS and graduated from Abilene High School. Sally was preceded in death by her brother Frederick Rice. Sally graduated from the University of Kansas in 1958. She married the love of her life, G. Wheat Collingwood, on August 6, 1960, and they made their home in Wichita, KS for 46 years. Sally was the mother of Julie Anne Collingwood Blumenthal (married to Michael Blumenthal) and grandmot her of Sarah Bay and Katherine Grace, all of Prairie Village, KS. Sally took joy in everything that Julie, Sarah Bay, and Kate did. Sally taught kinderga rten early in her marriage, and actively participated throughout her adult life in the Junior League of Wichita, the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the 20/20 Limited Investment Club, the Wesley Hospital Board, the Institute of Logopedics, and Bible Study Fellowship. A devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, and a loyal friend, Sally will be dearly missed by all who knew her. A memorial has been established with the William Koller Memorial Movement Disorders Research Fund. Services by Broadway Mortuary.

LEROY EVERETT, 62, of Haysville, retired Everett's "Mr. A.G." grocery store owner and operator, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1988. Service 10 a.m. Tuesday, Cochran Mortuary, Wichita.

EVERETT, THELMA M.

Everett, Thelma M., 78, retired Everett's Mr. A.G. owner and operator, died Monday, July 15, 2002. Visitation 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Smith Mortuary, Haysville; service 10 a.m. Thursday, McGill Cemetery, Potwin.

Mrs. Everett was born Feb. 19, 1924 in Neal, Kan., the daughter of the late Earl Julius and Corinne Gladys (Cochran) Ray. On Jan. 16, 1945, she married Leroy Everett at Oakland, Calif. He died Feb. 5, 1988.

Preceded in death by son, Dean Allen Everett; daughters-in-law, Glenda and Roberta Everett and brother, Robert Ray.

Survivors: sons and daughter-in-law, Bob Everett, Don and Peggy Everett all of Haysville, Rick Everett of Wichita; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Carl Wendt of Wichita; brothers, Melvin Ray, Marvin Ray both of Daytona Beach, Fla.; sisters, Betty Whiteside of Potwin, Margaret Garrett of Huntington Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Kelly Everett, Jim Everett, Jeff Everett, Eric Wendt, Kristy McKeller, Julie Everett; great-grandchildren, Kendra Wendt, Brandon Wendt, Andrew Everett, Matthew Everett.
