Funeral services for Elmer F. Foudray, a retired carpenter, 82 will be conducted at 10:30 Thursday morning in Dunsford
chapel. The Rev. John E. Saville will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
Mr. Foudray died this morningin Colonial manor nursing home at Douglass.
he was born Dec. 3, 1888 in Ancola, Mo. to John and Minnie (White) Foudray. He formerly lived in Cedar Vale and
moved to this county in 1927, where he was employed by Mobil refinery.
He was married Dec. 17, 1939 to Ethel Maude Boucher, who survives.
Mr. Foudray was World War I veteran and a member of the Masonic lodge.
He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Gladys Piper of Longton. Four brothers preceded him in death.

E.M.Foudray Dies At 89
Ethel Maude Foudray, 89,Augusta, died Friday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today at the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established, with the United Methodist Church.
She was born Oct. 24, 1894 in Augusta to Amos and Emily Clapp Boucher.

She married Elmer F. Foudray Dec. 17, 1939 in Augusta. He preceded her in death in 1971.
She was a salesperson at Calvert's for many years.
She was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church and a life member of the United Methodist Women. She was
also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star No. 211.
A sister, Fern Reed of Augusta, survives.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ethel Spencer died at AMCI
Ethel Beatrice Spencer, 88, Augusta, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Brooks of the First
United Methodist Church will officiate and entombment will be in the Elmwood Mausoleum.
She was born May 19, 1896 near Latham to George Walter and Jennie Belle Hitchcock Downing.
She married Marion Osborn Spencer July 21, 1917 in Augusta. He preceded her in death in 1975.
She was member of the First United Methodist Church, the Order of the eastern star and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.

H.D. Wood Rites Set
A funeral service for Harry D. Wood, 84, Route 2, who died Friday at the Augusta Medical Complex, will be held
at 2 o' clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate.
A private graveside service will follow the church service. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 29, 1895 in Bolivar, Mo., to David and Mary Starkey Wood.
He married Edith Boucher Taylor Feb. 16,1923 in Augusta. She survives.
Wood was a retired city and rural mail carrier. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He was a member
of the First Baptist Church.
Other survivors include son, Rolly Taylor, Midland, Texas; daughter Charlene Moser, Wichita; sister, Loa Burnly,
Kansas City; six grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.

Edith E. Wood, 81, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died at the Prairie Homestead in Wichita Sunday.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
There will not be a viewing.
She was born June 27, 1899 in Augusta to Ed and Mildred McNeal Boucher.
She married Bill Taylor. He preceded her in death in 1921. She married Harry Wood. He preceded her in death in
1979.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Rolly Taylor of Midland, texas; a daughter, Charleen Moser of Wichita; a sister, Martha
Schultz of Wichita; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

MOSER, EDWARD RAYMOND (ED)
Moser Services Announced Later
Edward Raymond (Ed) Moser, 62, was found dead Saturday at about 10 a.m. on the J. Bradley ranch near Andover where
he was employed. The caroner said Mr. Moser had a stroke which took his life Friday about 10 a. m.
His wife is the former Lillie Mae Boucher. She was caring for her sick father, Henry Boucher, and did not. go home
Friday night. The body is at Dunsfords.
Funeral services will be announced later. Rev. Roy Hendrickson of Lincoln will be in charge with burial in Elmwood.
Mr. Moser was born July 12, 1892 at Colorado Springs, Colo., the son of Minnie Lipscomb and Charles
Moser. He was married to Lillie Mae Boucher April 25,1916 inWichita. The following sons survive Robert, Great Bend;
Ralph, Iola; and Eugene; Air Force, stationed at Fairbanks, Alaska. A. sister, Mrs. Joe Tague, lives in Augusta;
a half-brother, Virgil Moser, at Wichita. His half-sisters are Veva Moser, Leon, Ethel Wycoff, Madison, and Eunice
Dalton, Luling, Tex. His stepmother, Mrs. Charles Moser, lives at Leon. There are also eight grandchildren.
Mr. Moser was a farmer. He came to this county in 1937. He was a member of the Christian church.

Norma Jean Broomfield, 73, Augusta, died Tuesday, August 29, 2000.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 1, at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood
Cemetery.
She is survived by four daughters, Janice Kittle, Sumter, SC., Julie Hoffman, Augusta; Mary Kay lancaster, Wichita;
Barbara Broomfield, Augusta; one son, John Broomfield, Towanda; three sisters, Donna Duncan, Augusta; Peggy Cheek,
Bartsville, Oklahoma., and Karen White, Augusta; one brother, Bill Keethler, Augusta, and nine grandchildren.
Memorials to the First Baptist Church have been suggested.

David Broomfield Rites Tuesday
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel for David Mark
Broomfield, 19, who died at the Augusta Medical Complex Saturday. The Rev. John Saville will conduct the services.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
David Mark Broomfield was born April 27, 1955 at Wichita, the son of Floyd and Norma J. (Keethler) Broomfield.
He married Gail Elaine Parry at Augusta on July 27 of this year.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow: his mother, Norma Broomfield of Augusta; a brother, John Broomfield of Augusta; four
sisters, Mrs. Janice Kittle of Midland, Mich., and Julie, Mary, and Barbara Broomfield of Augusta: and his grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Loren keethler of Augusta and Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Broomfield of Jay, Oklahoma.

Geoffrey G Boucher, 86, Augusta, died Friday [August 16, 1985) at Knutson Manor nursing home in El Dorado.Ks.

He was born December 15, 1898 in rural Augusta to Bert and Cassie Taylor Boucher.
He married Ruby E Boone, October 1, 1921 in Wichita. She survives.
He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the Cumberland Community Church.

Ruby Boucher Died Saturday
Ruby Boone Boucher, 84, 1515 Country Club Dr., died Saturday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Rev. Burl Ilison Jr. will officiate
and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Senior Citizens enter.
She was born Oct. 17, 1902, in Haverhill to Thomas and Luara Rae Boone.
She married Geoffrey G. Boucher Oct. 1, 1921, in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Mrs. Boucher was a member of the Cumberland Church.
Survivors include sons, Milford of Latham, Rolly of Augusta; daughters, Aileen Leben, Barbara Elliott, both of
Wichita; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Albert Boucher Dies in Texas Rites Saturday
Albert R. Boucher, 96 formerly of Augusta, died this morning in Midland, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Dunsford chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Boucher was born February 28, 1875 in Ohio and came to Augusta 90 years ago and was a farmer south of the city
until his retirement. He was married August 14, 1895 to Cassie Taylor, who preceded him in death June 12, 1949.
Survivors include two sons, Aubrey of Proyer, Okla., G.G. Boucher of Augusta; a daughter, Mrs. Chester Powers of
Midland, Tex.; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ella Warrender of Wichita and a brother, Henry Boucher of Augusta.

BOUCHER, CASSIE TAYLOR
Mrs. A. R. Boucher Dies Sunday Morning
The death of Mrs. Cassie Taylor Boucher, aged 77, occurred Sunday morning at her home in rural Augusta. She had
ben ill for the past five months, following a fall in which she received a fractured hip.
Mrs. Boucher was born October 12, 1871 in Jefferson county, Kansas, the daughter of Margaret Ann and Rolly taylor.
She was married to Albert Ross Boucher in Wichita on August 14, 1895.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Chester Powers of Augusta; two sons, G.G. Boucher of Augusta and
A.W. Boucher of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. J.L. Shreve of Wichita; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Dunsford chapel. Rev. Victor A. Major will
officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.

BLACK, DAVID G.
David G. Black, 85, Augusta, died Sunday, Jan. 31.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Rev. Don Swender officiating. Burial
will be in Elmwood cemetery in Augusta.
Black was a retired Mobil Oil Refinery light oil treater and had served with the Navy during World War II. He was
a member of the United Methodist Church.
His parents were Della (Fisher) and William B. Black.
On May 5, 1934, he married Beulah V. Jackson in St. Charles, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah; nephew, Duane Black of Wichita.
Memorials have been established with the Augusta Medical Complex Inc. and the Augusta Historical Museum.

BLACK, BEULAH VESTA
Beulah Vesta Black, 91, Augusta, homemaker, died Sunday, May 4, 2003.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta.
She was born on May 27, 1911 in Bartlesville, Okla., to Richard and Ines (Knupp) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Black in 1993.
Beulah came to Augusta in 1913 and graduated from Augusta High School in 1931.
She and David were married for 59 years.
Mrs. Black was a talented and avid china painter. She was past president of Sunflower China Decorators Club of
Wichita. She also served as president of the Kansas Federation of China Painters and was a member and teacher in
the International Porcelain Artists. She was a member of the Grand Chapter of the Kansas Order of the Eastern Star
for over 50 years. She continued to teach china painting to students until the day she fell and broke her hip on
Dec. 8, 2002. She died of complications from the fall.
Survivors are: nephew, Philip and Anita Johnson and their son, Brian and his family of Seattle.

Long Services Tomorrow
Funeral services for Richard Ewell Long, 62, will be held Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunsford chapel. His death
occurred Friday in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a brother of Mrs. C.O. Varner of Augusta and R.M. Long of Mulvane.
A grandchild also survives. A son, Spencer Long, lives in Oklahoma City. Rev. V.A. Major will conduct the service
and burial will be made in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Long was born in Augusta the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Long. He was married to Carrie Spencer June 20,
1912 in Augusta.

CODY, ROY F.
Roy F. Cody Dies At 65
Roy F. Cody, 65, 1507 Moyle, a retired sheet metal assembler for Boeing Co., died today at his home.
Funeral services will be held at the Dunsford Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday with Revs. Max Munson and Jerry Calvert officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in his name with the Butler County Cancer Society.
Mr. Cody was born here March 5, 1912 a son of Charles Washington and Ethel Anthill Hartup Cody.
He married Martha M. Boucher, who survives, in a ceremony at El Dorado on July 3, 1939.
Other survivors include two sons, Larry D. Cody, Douglass and Gary L. Cody, Rock; two brothers, Jim and walt Cody,
both of Nickerson; two sisters, Mrs. helen Bolman and Mrs. Dorothy Rowland, both of Augusta and four grandsons.

Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Ann Alexander of Wichita were to be held this morning at Byrd-Snodgrass funeral
home in Wichita. With interment in the mausoleum in Elmwood Cemetery here.
Casket bearers were to be Lowell Skaer, Dean Skaer, Henry Moyle, Dale McCauley, Kennth McCauley and A.H. Kaufman.
Honorary casket bearers were Henry Bailey, George Herrman, Ray Hammond, James H. Neal, Milford Pierpont, Dr. T.E.

Dr. Alley Rites At 2:30 Wednesday

Dr. Alley was born at Ozark, Ark., May 4, 1885, the son of James A. and Rebecca (Layne) Alley. He was married to
Nan Johnson at Wichita on Aug. 12, 1918.
He had been a dentist in Augusta for a number of years and was member of the First United methodist church.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Dr. James M. Alley, Jr., of Wichita and Dr. Richard S. Alley of Marbella,
Spain; a brother John Alley of Douglass; two sisters, Miss Lyda Alley of Wichita and Mrs. Ethel Paul of Wichita;
and six grandchildren.

ALLEY, NAN R.
Nan R. Alley Dies At 90
Nan R. Alley, 90, 312 E. Sixth, died Monday, Aug. 2, at her home.
Her service will be 10 o'clock Thursday morning, Aug. 5, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Burl Allsion
Jr. officiating and interment in the Elmwood Mausoleum.
She was born here Oct. 15, 1891 as the daughter of James and Lissa Carr Johnson.
She and Dr.James M. Alley were united in marriage during an Aug. 12, 1918 ceremony at Wichita. He preceded her
in death in 1973.
Mrs. Alley was member of Augusta's First Methodist church and a charter member of the Soroptimist Club.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. James Alley Jr., of Wichita and Dr. Richard S. Alley of San Antonio, Texas; six grandchildren
and one great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert J. Alley.

LITTLE BOBBIE ALLEY IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Son of Mr. and Mrs. James Alley Died at Five O'Clock This Morning, Following a Short Illness.
Robert Johnson Alley, aged three years, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Alley, died at 5 o'clock this morning at the
Alley home, 1024 State street, following an illness of three weeks. death was due to nephritis. While the little
boys' life has been despaired of for sometime, hope was revived a week ago when he rallied for a short time from
his illness.
Bobbie, as he was known to his many friends and admirers, had his tonsils removed four weeks ago, and the disease
which caused his death developed just as he was recovering from the operation.
Bobbie had countless friends, among the grown-ups as well as the children. he was a wonderful little fellow, chuck
full of energy and fun, and to know him was to love him. He is survived by his parents and two brothers, Jimmie,
aged seven, and Richard, a baby. Bobbie would have been three years old the twenty-seventh of this month.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday morning at the home, 1024 State street. The service will be conducted
by the Reverend J. P. Martyn of the Christian church.

Former Augusta Man Dies In Wichita Sunday
Robert Y. Young Alexander Survived By Two Sisters Here; Buried In Augusta
Robert Young Alexander, 48, president of the R.Y. Alexander Lumber company and a former resident of Augusta, died
at his home in Wichita early Sunday morning.
Mr. Alexander was a native of Tennessee, but received his education in Augusta, where he lived until moving to
Wichita.
Mrs. Blanche Myers and Mrs. Will McAuley, both of Augusta, survive their brother.
Mr. Alexander is also survived by his wife, Beulah; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Alexander, 354 North Grove, Wichita;
two daughters, Roberta and Helen; two sons, Robert Jr., and Moyle; Mrs. Mary Treweeke, 345 North Grove, Wichita,
and four brothers, Dr. T.F., 3909 East Cental, Wichita; Dr. J.E., Independence, Mo.; Professor William, Fayette,
Mo., and J.M. Alexander, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral service will be held at the Downing mortuary Tuesday at 2 p.m. Dr. Leslie Miller, pastor of College Hill
Methodist Episcopal church, will officiate. Burial will be at the Augusta Mausoleum.
