WHITEWATER Raymond "Rocky" Brewer, 70, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, at his home in Whitewater.
He was born Dec. 18, 1935, to George Alderman Brewer and Mary Frances Brittner in Alva, Okla. He married Virgie
DeLong Jan. 16, 1954, in Elkhorn, Okla. She survives.
He graduated from high school. He was a retired police officer.
He is survived by one son, Rocky Allen, Fort Gibson, Okla.; one daughter, Roxanna Kim Hollon, Whitewater; two grandchildren;
one step grandchild; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Lawrence, Dayton, Wyo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Swiss Church in Whitewater with Pastor Jon Prigge presiding. Burial
will be at Benton Cemetery in Benton. Memorials are suggested to Grace Baptist Church in Whitewater. (Southwest

Mary Melba was born April 23, 1922 on a farm northeast of Andover. She lived in her parents' farm southeast of
Benton, KS for all of her school years. Her parents were Frank Osborn and Verne Waterson of Benton. She married
Herald Bliss Waite September 25, 1941. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary this past September.
Survivors include her husband; daughters and sons-in-law, Karolyn Kay and John Stephens of Lakewood, CO and Linda
S. and Phil Harris of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Michael and Stacy Stephens, Robert and Jenny Stephens, Greg
and Christine Stephens, Jason, Blake and Jeremy Harris; great-grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Noah, Allie, Kylie
and Ashley all of Colorado.
