A total of 67 persons gathered on Sunday at Fairmont Park in Wichita for the annual Boone family reunion. Had all members of the family been able to attend, the total would have been 119. A bountiful basket dinner was served at the noon hour.

Attending from Wichita were Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Boone, Mr. and Mrs. William Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson, Kimberly and Eugene; Mr. and Mrs. M. N. Brown, Mrs. Ted Leben, Sue, Tena, Lecia and David and Mrs. Kenneth Brown.

Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Sapp and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Woodward and Shelly, of Maize; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Tidball and Mrs. Jessie Kistler of Tulsa, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Allison Kraft, Bobby, Terry, Vicky and Brian; Mr. and Mrs. James Oakes and Ronald and Tellus Dean, all of Kansas City, Mo.

El Doradoans present were Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Clark, Bryan and Brooks; Slade Boone, Dick Boone, Rhonda Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Sluss, Jr., and Jim, Willie Skinner and Tammy Skinner.

Completing the group were Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Boucher, Mr. and Mrs. Milford Boucher, Kaye, Lu Ann and Allan; Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Elliott, Betty and Mike; Mrs. Rolly Boucher, Greg and Terry; Maxine Trexler, Jim, Judy, Donna and Cindy Garritson, and Mr. and Mrs. O. The 18th annual Cassoday reunion and basket dinner May 29 attracted 80 guests, ranging in ages from 18 months to 92 years. The event was held at the Cassoday grade school, with Mesdames Willis Eggen, Lee Griffin and Lela Hodgens serving as chairmen.

Mrs. John Pearl Harsh, 92 El Dorado, was recognized as the oldest person attending, while Jason Harsh Hughey son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis W. Hughey, also of El Dorado, was cited as being the youngest present. A two-way tie existed for recognition as the couple being married the longest - Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harsh, Cassoday, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fisher, Ogden have been married 49 years.

The Harsh family was the largest family group attending. Travelling the longest distance to attend the event were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Davis of Waldron, Ark. Ten Kansas communities were represented. (El Dorado Times, June 8, 1972)
