Dorothy M. Ratts, 75, of Augusta, homemaker, died Wednesday, July 6, 1994, at HCA Wesley Medical Center. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday in the Towanda Cemetery with Rev. Michael Omundson officiating.
She was born Sept. 9, 1918, in Douglass, the daughter of William Gamron and Cora Ellen Ring. On Oct. 3, 1937, she and Donald W. Ratts, were married in Douglass.

She was born Nov. 19, 1934, in El Dorado, the daughter of John Wilford and Berta Hackler. She was a retired computer operator for Rockwell International and a member of the Baptist Church.

She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in rural Haskell Co., the daughter of Thomas Cooley and Emma Faye (Frank) Ward. She was married to Lt. Col. William E. Reeter USAF (retired.)

Emery Reeves, 88, of Wellsville, died Tuesday, July 12, 1994. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Hackleman and Son Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs, Mo. Burial will be in Hazel Dell cemetery, El Dorado Springs.
He was born April 1, 1906, in Cedar County, Mo., the son of Willis and Martha (Wade) Reeves. On June 8, 1929, he and Elsie Caldwell were married in Stockon, Mo.
He farmed in Cedar County for several years, worked for Rock Island Railroad for 18 years. He retired in April, 1970.
Survivors include: wife, Elsie, sons, Cletis of Green Forest, Ark., Merle of Husum, wash., Jerle of Leavenworth, Donald of Richmond, James "Jim" of El Dorado, Curtis, Kenneth, both of Wellsvile, daughters, Janet of Wellsville, Juanita of Paola, sister, Harriet of Grand Terrance, Calif., 31 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters.

Wallace A. Renfro, 75, of Neodesha, died Wednesday, May 11, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. Burial will be in Koger Cemetery.
He was born March 19, 1919, in Morris, Okla., to John and Hazel Moore Renfro. On Feb. 15, 1946, he and Roberta Maxine Beard were married in Independence. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. He was a machinist for Boeing Wichita, retiring in 1974. He then moved to Neodesha where he worked for the municipal water plant, retiring in 1984.
Survivors include: wife, Roberta, sons, Steven of El Dorado, Joe of Augusta, Greg of Neodesha; daughter, Barbara Behunin of Augusta, brother, Joe of Joplin, Mo., 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the son of John Resnick & Francis Strenfel. He was an automobile and appliance salesman and had owned Resnik Appliance Stores in Potwin and El Dorado. He was a widower.

Beatrice E. "Bea" Richardson, 85, of Leon, died Monday, Oct. 24, 1994, at Susan B. Allen Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at the Leon Christian church. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 10, 1909 in Hutchinson, the daughter of Warren and Emma Brown Casidy. She moved to Leon from South Haven in 1938. She was a homemaker and farmer and had worked in the school cafeteria for six years. She was a member of the Leon Christian church, Naomi Rebekah Lodge since 1953, Leon Senior Citizens, Women of the Moose, and was a volunteer at the Leon Library.
On Sept. 12, 1928 she and Roy Carrol Richardson were married in Modesto, Calif. He died April 24, 1964.
Survivors include: son, Jack of Del Rio, Texas; daughter, Casey Marlnee of Leon, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Larry, a sister and a grandson.

FUNERAL WEDNESDAY
At Methodist Church - Buried in Fairview Cemetery - Is Survived by Ten Children - Well Known in Augusta.
Mrs. Elizabeth Richey, 68, died last night at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Canfield, of 1100 North School street.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Kraft. Burial will be made in the Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Richey was born Feb. 22, 1854 and came to Kansas with her parents and settled in Butler County 51 years ago. During her long residence in Butler County and in Augusta she made many friends, who will be shocked to hear of her death. Mrs. Richey had only been ill about a week and while her condition was serious it was not thought that death was so near. All day yesterday she called for her son, Orin of Hancock, N.Y., who arrived early last evening, just before his mother died.
Mr. Richey died 18 years ago and since that time Mrs. Richey has made her home among her children. She was a fond mother and devoted grandmother, was prominent in the church circles and will be greatly missed by her many associates in the church work.
She is survived by ten children, 7 sons, Calvin of Lapryor, Tex., Orin of Hancock, N.Y., Ira D. of Casper, Wyo., John W. of Augusta, Allen G. of Ocella, Fla., Fred and Robert R. both of Augusta and three daughters, Mrs. J. Wednesday Rites for John Richey
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the Dunsford Chapel for John Wesley Richey, 86, who died Sunday at the home of his daughter in rural Augusta. Interment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery.
John Wesley Richey was born June 29, 1879 in Butler County, the son of Robert and Elizabeth (Berger) Richey. He was married to Viola Davis at Deercreek, Okla., on April 19, 1900. She preceded him in death in 1945.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evesta Richey Markley of Augusta; two sons, Curtis C. Richey of Peoria, Ill., and Darius W. Richey of Redding, California; a brother, Robert Richey of Augusta; three sisters, Mrs. Jesse Canfield and Mrs. Sabra McCalla, both of Augusta and Mrs. Elizabeth Davis of Wilcox, Ariz.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Vergil V. Ridgway, 75, of El Dorado, died Wednesday morning, July 6, 1994 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
He was born June 2, 1919, in Dexter, the son of William Johnson and Josephine Lane Ridgway. During WWII, he served in the U.S. Army and was a POW during his tour of duty. He worked for the Kansas Turnpike as a mechanic until his retirement and was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Georgia and the American Legion. He had lived in El Dorado since 1961 after moving from Cartersville, Ga.
On May 12, 1945, he and Irene Lee were married in Cartersville, Ga.
Survivors include: wife, Irene, son, Vernon of El Dorado, daughter, Vickie McNary of El Dorado, brother Cecil of El Dorado, sister, Goldie Ross of Arkansas City, three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Charley W. Ritchey, 98, of Hutchinson, formerly of El Dorado, died Tuesday afternoon, March 29, 1994, at Silver Oaks Adult Care Center. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
He was born March 18, 1896, in Summerville, Mo., the son of William and Delphila Day Ritchey and spent most of his life in El Dorado where he worked for the City. The last four years he had lived in Hutchinson. During World War I he served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion Veterans of WWI.
On June 27, 1922 he and Bonnie B. Harper were married in Springfield, Mo.
Survivors include: wife, Bonnie, daughters, Gloria Hollenbeck of Nixa, Mo., Joyce Sykes, Jeannette Venable, both of Hutchinson, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Bill H. Ross, 68, of Douglass, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1994 at HCA Wesley Hospital. Memorial services are 10 a.m. Friday at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
He was born May 24, 1926, in Claremore, Okla., the son of Herbert and Snoda (Parker) Ross, and served in the U.S. navy during WWII. He married Marjorie M. Malik and was former owner of Ross Western.
Survivors include: wife, Marjorie, brothers, Jack Ross, Dan Ross, Ted Ross, sister, Marie Jo Skidmore, all of Oklahoma.

He was born Sept. 29, 1923, Dundee, Iowa, the son of John and Mary (Ammeter) Rotach. On June 11, 1948, he and June Perkins were married.
Survivors include: wife, June, son, Marlin of Kansas city, Mo., daughter, Connie Baker of Liberty, Mo., brother, Bob of Minden, La.; sister, Marie Clark of El Dorado, one grandchild.

Wilma Pauline Rudicel, 77, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 1994 at Newton Medical Center. Private graveside services will be held in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Walton officiating.
She was born Aug. 14, 1916 in Chapel Hill, Tenn. to Edward and Ossie B. Lindsey Phillips. She was a 1934 graduate of Inman High School. A Hutchinson resident since 1934, formerly of Burrton and Wichita, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church in Hutchinson.
On Aug. 14, 1937, she and Kenneth E. Rudicel were married in Hutchinson.
Survivors include: husband, Kenneth; son, Kenton of Southlake, Texas; mother, Ossie Phillips of Hutchinson, sister, Helen Weigel of Miami, Okla.

Claribel W. Russell, 84, of Fort Collins, Colo., formerly of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 1994. Services are 10 a.m. Monday in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 11, 1910, in Apache, Okla., the daughter of Josiah and Rosa Reighley. She moved to a farm near El Dorado in 1915 and later to Winfield. She worked at the Winfield State Hospital and the Topeka State Hospital where she became supervisor of the Eastman Unit. She retired in 1974 after 20 years of service and moved to Ft. Collins in 1978.
Survivors include: granddaughter, Lisa Kling, grandsons, Cory Kling, Tyler Kling, all of Loveland, Colo., sister, Marie Wells, of Winfield. She was preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Jones.
