VANSCYOC, BILLIE FAYE (MCDOWELL)
Billie Faye (McDowell) VanScyoc, 79, Augusta, nurse aide, medical aid and caregiver, passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta. Interment will be at 2 p.m. that afternoon at Ninnescah Cemetery in Udall.
There will be no visitation.
She was born to Jesse and Levexne McDowell on Nov. 15, 1927 in Clifton, Colo. She married Nyman Franklin VanScyoc on Sept. 8, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1982.
Her survivors include: sons, Donald (Carol) McDowell of Nashville, Jesse (Renee) VanScyoc of Wichita; daughters, Lasema Banks of Las Vegas, Penny (Jim) Howell of Augusta, Peggy (Wade) Griffith of Wichita, and Pattie VanScyoc, Wichita; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be given to Operation Smiles and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta, who has charge of the arrangements. (Augusta Daily Gazette - Monday, Jan. 8, 2007) Transcribed by Diana Herrman
