Marion Hersel Wagoner, 66, of Wichita, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 1994, at Riverside Hospital. Services were held Monday morning at Lamb-Nutter Mortuary in Whitewater with Rev. Paul Seward officiating. Burial was in Whitewater Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Olathia, Mo. He was a retired Building Waterproofing and Restoration Co. maintenance engineer. He married Marjorie M. Maddox.

WALKER, PAULINE M.

Pauline M. Walker, 77, of El Dorado, formerly of Parsons, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 9, 1994, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Burris-Carson-Wall-Funeral Home in Parsons with Rev. James Spon officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 11, 1917, in Parsons, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Dodson) Baity, and graduated from Parsons High School in 1935. She was a telephone operator in Parsons for several years.

In 1940, she and Bill E. Walker were married in Columbia, Mo. They lived in several cities because of his military career and moved to El Dorado from Tulsa in 1961. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado.

Survivors include husband, Bill, son John of El Dorado, brothers Tom Baity of Portland, Ore., Frank Bailey of Pueblo, Colo., sister Thelma Clary of Parsons, one grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe.

WAPLES, OPAL MARIE FRISBY

Memorial services for Opal Marie Frisby Waples, of Colorado Springs, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Central Baptist Church, Augusta. She died July 29, 1994.

She was born Dec. 13, 1909 in El Dorado, the daughter of Guy and Grace Blackmore Frisby. She taught school. On Aug. 6, 1934, she and John Waples were married. He preceded her in death.

WATKINS, ANNA ESTELLA

Anna Estella (Gallagher) (Chisman) Watkins, 81, of Augusta, died Friday, Oct. 23, 1994. Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 17, 1913, in Augusta, the daughter of Clarence Gallagher and Maude Estella Markham. On June 14, 1931, she and James Sumner Chisman were married in Augusta. He died Jan. 17, 1968. She was a homemaker and was retired from Beech Aircraft. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in El Dorado.

WATSON, DORIS IMOGENE

Doris Imogene Watson, 67, of Towanda, died Friday, Feb. 4, 1994, at Susan B. Allen Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Towanda Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Towanda Cemetery.

She was born March 14, 1926 in Oil Hill, the daughter of Dodd and Thelma Philpot Morris and spent all her life in this area. She graduated from Susan B. Allen Nursing School in 1949 and did post-graduate work at Margaret Hauge Maternity Hospital in New Jersey. She worked as a nurse for several years at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Towanda Baptist Church.

Survivors include: son, Richard of Kentucky, daughters, Tobi Jean Sibley, of Towanda, Colleen Barry of Marietta, Ohio; mother, Thelma Morris of Towanda, brother, Jim Morris of Wichita, sister, Joyce Scott of Duncan, Okla., four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and a son, Jimmy Lee.

WATTS, LEROY

Leroy Watts, formerly of Emporia, died Friday, Feb. 18, 1994 at the Chase County Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Cottonwood falls.

He was born May 7, 1948, in Anjean, W. Va., the son of Harold and Doris Meyer Watts. He was a heavy machine operator for Santa Fe for many years. He recently worked as a truck driver until he retired in August 1993. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Emporia and an active member of the Make the Day Count Organization of Emporia.

Survivors include: daughter, Julie Watts of Emporia, sons, Cole and Wade of Cottonwood Falls, father, Harold of Strong City, brothers Gordon of Cottonwood Falls, Ronnie of Towanda, Penn., Jim of Lillington, N.C., Don of Kerman, Calif., David of Kansas City, sisters, Roberta McIntyre of Bazaar, Alice Bucholtz of Moreland; uncle, Robert Watts of El Dorado.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Beverly A. Weaver, 62, of Hutchinson, Dillons Warehouse clerical department employee, died Saturday, January 14, 1994. Services were held this morning at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Hutchison with Father Richard Stuchlik officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery.

She was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Kansas City, Mo., to Bernard Farrell and Marie Glenn Farrell. She had lived in Hutchinson since moving from Wichita in 1957. She was a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church.

She was born Feb. 1, 1918 in Wichita, the daughter of Frank Henry LaPorte and Edith Emma Pressnell. On April 7, 1942, she and Louis Weaver were married in Augusta. He died December 17, 1980. She was a retired clerk for Walmart.

He was born Sept. 20, 1942, in Potwin, the son of Bernice L. (Lewis) and Willis H. Weaver. On Oct. 3, 1983, he and Mary Prather were married in Marion. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an air and heating technician.

WEBER, CLEO B.

Cleo B. Weber, 84, of El Dorado, died Sunday afternoon May 29, 1994. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 2, 1909 in Furley, the daughter of William and Margaret (Catt) Barker and lived in Butler County most of her life. She graduated from Whitewater High school in 1927. On Feb. 24, 1947, she and J. P. Weber were married in Wichita. He died Sept. 4, 1979. She was a retired Avon representative and member of Prospect Baptist Church and the El Dorado Moose Lodge.

Survivors include: daughter, Donna Rankin, brothers, Delbert Barker, Lewis Barker, all of El Dorado, sister, Ellen Hull of Topeka, five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and two sisters.

WEBER, HARRY C.

Harry C. Weber, 79, of Lubbock, Texas, formerly of El Dorado, died at his home, Tuesday, March 22, 1994. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.

He was born April 20, 1914, in Wichita, the son of Bert and Frankie (Foster) Weber, and had lived in the Lubbock area since 1983. He was chief of police in El Dorado for many years and also worked in Eunice, N.M. for Skelly Oil Company. He was a member of the Lakeridge United Methodist Church.

On Aug. 1, 1980, he and Lucille Meek were married in Eunice, N.M.

Survivors include: wife, Eunice, daughter, Harriet A. Sims of Omaha, Neb., stepson Richard A. Meek of Hobbs, N.M., sister, Ruthetta West Harms of el Dorado, three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Marjorie Burk, two sons and one daughter.

WEIMER, ELEANOR LOUISE

Eleanor Louise Weimer, 75, of El Dorado, formerly of Great Bend, died Saturday morning, Jan. 22, 1994, at Knutson Manor Nursing Center. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist church and graveside services are 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Berryton. Visitation will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight at Carlson Funeral Home.

She was born April 27, 1918, in Pasa Monte, N.M., the daughter of Frank and Mae Wessner Snell. She married Ralph M. Weimer. He died Sept. 18, 1973. She lived in El Dorado for two years. Before that she had lived in great Bend for 19 years. She was a homemaker and teacher and a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Great Bend, eastern Star, United Methodist Women, Menninger Bible Study, Toastmaster's Club and the Alamogordo Women's Club.

Suvivors include: daughter, Joan Wagner, of El Dorado, brother, Floyd Snell of Williamsburg, N.M.; sister, Bernice Zirkle of Berryton; three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

WELLS, E. E. "TINY"

E. E. "Tiny" Wells, of Garnett, formerly of El Dorado, former Grandview Elementary School principal, died Saturday night, Jan. 29, 1994. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Farris-Feuerborn Funeral Home. Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. in Fredonia. (El Dorado Times. Jan. 31, 1994)

Elmer. E. Wells, 82, of Garnett, former resident of this area, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 1994. Services were held Tuesday in Garnett. Burial was in the Fredonia (Kan.) Cemetery.

He was born June 9, 1911, in Greenwood County, the son of Clinton and Alice Odessa Martin Wells. He had a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Emporia State University. He was a teacher and a superintendent of schools at Sedan, and was a principal and teacher at Fall River, Haverhill and Grandview schools. His memberships included the United Methodist Church, and Kiwanis Club, both in El Dorado, and was a 50 year member of Greenwood Lodge 163 A. F. & A. M. in Fall River.

On July 5, 1936, he and Lucille DeFeyer were married in Fredonia. She died in November, 1989.

Survivors include sons, Richard of Garnett, Dave of Albany, Mo., brother, Floyd Wells of Parker, sisters, Clara Weide of San Diego, Wilma Smith of Fall River, Lela Kress of Yates Center, Emma Stover of Seattle, Wash., Gladys Crane of Iola, Oleta Huston of El Dorado, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.

She was born March 18, 1949 in El Dorado and graduated from Joplin High school in 1967. She was a student at Missouri Southern State College and a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.

WILLIAMS, WADE LEE

Wade Lee Williams, 44, of Wichita, formerly of El Dorado, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 1994, at his home. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.

He was born March 21, 1950, the son of Marion F. and Doris P. Ollenberg Williams. He was an iron worker and had lived in Wichita for 15 years. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church and was a member of the Iron Workers Union, Camp-arama Club and the Sunday Punch Band.

Survivors include: mother, Doris Williams, of El Dorado, daughters, Nicole Williams of Wichita, Bree Williams of El Dorado, brother, Edward Williams of Vacaville, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, Marion "Bud" Williams. (El Dorado Times, Nov. 21, 1994)
