MISS SARA JANE ZEIGLER DIES

Miss Sara Jane Zeigler, a resident of Prospect Township, died at her home late yesterday afternoon following an illness of a year. She was 62 years old.Miss Zeigler had been a resident of Butler County for the past 17 years, operating a farm with her brother, Charles W. Zeigler, in Prospect Township during that time.She was born in York County, Pa., on October 4, 1870, but moved to Astoria, Ill., with her parents when a child. She resided there for 30 years and came to Kansas where she settled in Rice County, near Little River. She lived there for three and a half years and then moved to Huron, S. D., residing there for eight years. It was following that that she took up her residence in Prospect Township.Miss Zeigler was a member of the Methodist Church, at Rosalia and served as treasurer on the Pontiac School board for many years, serving in that position until her death.She is survived by three brothers, Charles W., and M. L. Zeigler of Prospect township, and Jacob Zeigler of Huron, S. D. A sister, Margaret Anne, died on December 25, 1911, while three other brothers also preceded her in death. Milton Henry Zeigler died on July 27, 1926; James Franklin Zeigler died on February 9, 1913 and Franklin J. Zeigler died on January 4, 1873.Funeral services will be held at the Byrd Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30. Interment will be made in the Economy Cemetery. Z

ZEIGLER RITES TO BE TOMORROW

Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Jane Zeigler who died at her home in Prospect Township Sunday will be held at the Byrd Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. R. E. Keye, pastor of the Methodist Churches at Rosalia and Cassoday officiating. Pallbearers will be: Albert Peffley, Frank Kistler, Dick Fuller, Marion Bolin, Pete Hanson and James Cronk. Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Jane Zeigler, who died Sunday at her home in Prospect Township were held yesterday afternoon at the Byrd Funeral Home with Rev. R. E. Keys, pastor of the Rosalia and Cassoday Methodist Churches, officiating.A mixed quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Fuller, Mrs. Merle Seglem and Frank Kistler, sang "Asleep In Jesus," "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Going Down the Valley," accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Loy Quinby.Pallbearers were: Albert Peffley, Frank Kistler, Dick Fuller, Marion Bolin, Pete Hanson and James Cronk. ZINK, MILDRED E.

Mildred E. Zink, 84, of Burlington, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1994, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Shawnee Mission.She was born on Feb. 22, 1910 to Elmer and Maude Flora Grant in Burlington. She was a homemaker.Services will be Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Burlington. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Burlington.She married Claiborun Wilson on April 11, 1937 in Burlington. They later divorced. She married Max E. Zink on Aug. 3, 1971. He proceeded her in death on July 7, 1985.She is survived by a son, David E. Wilson of El Dorado, a daughter, Vermona E. Runnebaum, Topeka, a sister, Marie Naylor of Burlington; four grandchildren, five step-greatgrandchildren.Memorials are suggested to the First Christian Church of Burlington.
