Cheyenne County History
Jaqua, a small settlement of Cheyenne county, is located on the south fork of the Republican river in the southwestern part of the county, about 18 miles from St. Francis, the county seat. It has a money order postoffice and is a trading point for the neighborhood. St. Francis is the nearest railroad station. . (Kansas Cyclopedia, Volume II, Edited by Frank W. Blackmar, A. M., Ph.
