BALL, LILLIE ANN (TAYLOR)
Lillie Ann Ball, 80, of Arkansas City, died Friday,
August 8, 2003 at the Medicalodge East of Arkansas City. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30a.m. Monday, August
11, 2003 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gale Rider officiating. Interment will follow in the
Riverview Cemetery.
Born July 18, 1923 at Wichita, Lillie Ann was the daughter of George Webster and Alice M. (Wing) Taylor. Lillie
Ann was reared and educated in Arkansas City, graduating from Arkansas City High School in 1941. Lillie Ann's father,
George Webster Taylor preceded her in death on November 8, 1935. When she was thirteen years old, she was adopted
by Phillip Stacy Finch.
On February 8, 1945, she married Ivan W. Ball in Arkansas City where the couple immediately made their home.
Lillie was a homemaker and attended the Mt. Zion Community Church.
Lillie Ann is survived by her son, Webster Ball and his wife, Peggy of Arkansas City; two daughters, Mary B. Geis
and her husband, John of Weatherford, TX and Rosalee A. Locke and her husband, Steve of Arkansas City; seven grandchildren,
Todd Ball of Andover, Christy Olsen of Newkirk, Tiffany Fisher of Overland Park, Tina Fagan of Weatherford, TX,
Derrick Geis of Bridgeport, TX, Jessica Babcock of Arkansas City, and Garratt Locke of Geuda Springs; and four
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan W. Ball on December 13, 1979; and her sister, Maxine
Finch.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and contributions may be made through the funeral

Maycom Gregory Ball, infant son of Cody and Amanda
Ball, died Friday, November 27, 2009, at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center. Funeral services have
been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Pastor Pete Seidel
will officiate. Burial will follow in the Springside Cemetery.
Maycom was born October 29, 2008, in Kansas City, KS to Cody M. and Amanda S. (Lewman) Ball.
He is survived by his parents of the home; grandparents, Clifford Ball and wife Virginia of Arkansas City, KS; Linda Lewman of Shawnee, OK; Darrell Lewman of Arkansas City, KS; great-grandparents, Bobby Tipton and wife Elsie of Arkansas City, KS; Doris Ball of Arkansas City, KS; Mary Leiker of Shawnee, OK; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Maycom was preceded in death by Walter Ball, Melvin Leiker, and Allene Lewman.

Lorene Mae Barclay, 82 of Arkansas City died, Friday,
July 7, 2006 at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the Blessing Heights Church in Arkansas
City. Pastor Tim Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Parker Cemetery.
Lorene was born May 15, 1924 to Ora "Earl" Earl Ball and Harriett "Hattie" Juanita (Stockton)
Ball in Ritchey, MO. She was raised and educated in Missouri. Lorene worked at Big Smith pants factory until she
married Delmar H. Barclay on September 12, 1942 in Neosho, MO. They lived in Granby, MO until moving to Arkansas
City in June 1944.
Lorene was a homemaker until 1957, when she went to work for the Memorial Hospital as a med-surg, OB nurse aide.
She retired after 28 years in 1986. She was a member of the Blessing Heights Church of God Apostolic Faith. Lorene
was the secretary/treasurer for the LMS 31 years.
She is survived by her husband, Delmar Barclay of the home; two daughters, Florene Stark and Norene Nicely both
of Arkansas City; three sisters, Irene Richardson and Wanda Barker both of Arkansas City, Jesse Sidner of Sumner,
WA; two brothers, Ora Lee Ball of Arkansas City and Ray Ball of Winfield; grandchildren, Del Beane and wife, Kim,
Dana Barlcay and wife, Kim, Shelly Beane, Bobby Joe Burr and Jamie Burr all of Arkansas City, Denise Lambert and
husband, David of Tulsa, OK; 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Neva Beane (Died August 02, 2003); two brothers, Ivan W.
Ball (Died December 13, 1979) and Walter A. Ball (Died February 08, 1997); two sisters, Juanita Gibson (Died December
of 1986) and Bertha L. Olsen (Died September 06, 1996); two grandsons, Ronnie Lucas and Christopher Harper and
great grandson, Colt Beane.
A memorial has been established with the Blessing Height Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral

Colt Shelby Beane, 19, of Arkansas City, died Friday (June 25, 2004) at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center, the result of a car accident. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday (July 1, 2004) at the Central Christian Church, Arkansas City, Kansas. Cremation has been effected.
Colt was born April 3, 1985 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Del Ray and Kim Kolette (Eash) Beane. He was reared and educated in Arkansas City graduating from Arkansas City High School in 2003. Colt was active in the Space Camp, Symphonic Choir, Ark Highs, Forensics and Drama Clubs at the high school. He was in the Duke’s Program for Academic Excellence, was nominated for Student of the Year and was a member of Who’s Who in High School America.
Survivors include his parents Del Ray and Kim of the home; a half brother Justin Beane of Arkansas City; maternal grandparents Ronald and Marilyn Eash of Ponca City; paternal grandparents Raymond and Cheri Beane of Plano, Texas; Great-grandparents Delmar and Lorene Barclay of Arkansas City, Bea “G.G.” Green of Arkansas City; three aunts Jan and her husband Joe Woodard, Roni Rollins, and Shelly Beane; five cousins Chris and Jon Duncan, Adam Woodard, Sydney and Kadyn Rollins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Neva Beane. great-grandfathers Milton Eash and Joseph Green.

Neva Joyce Beane, 57, of Arkansas City, died Saturday
(August 2, 2003) at the South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center of Arkansas City. Funeral services are scheduled
for 10:30 a.m. Friday (August 8, 2003) at the Blessing Heights Church of God Apostolic Faith. Pastor Tim Smith
will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Parker Cemetery.
Neva was born January 31, 1946, in Arkansas City to Delmar and Lorene (Ball) Barclay. She was reared and educated
in Arkansas City. Neva married Raymond Beane on November 17, 1961 in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple was later divorced.
Neva worked for the Cessna Aircraft Company at Strother Field and after the plant closing she worked as an Inspector/Mechanic
for the General Electric Jet Engine Maintenance Facility also at Strother Field until her retirement.
She was a member of the Blessing Heights Church of God Apostolic Faith.
Survivors include one son Del Ray and his wife Kim Beane; one daughter Shelly Beane; her parents Delmar and Lorene
Barclay; two sisters Florene Stark and Norene Nicely and four grandchildren all of Arkansas City.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons Ronnie and Christopher.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral
home.

Alice "Allie" Stockton Rindt, 97, of
Arkansas City, died Saturday (April 21, 2007) at Medicalodge East. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday (April 25, 2007) at the First Baptist Church of Arkansas City. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Allie was born February 4, 1910, in Butler, Oklahoma, to Benjamin Harrison Stockton and Sarah "Amanda"
Lucretia (Anderson) Stockton Stockton. She was reared and educated in Missouri and moved with her family, including
her twin Hallie) to Arkansas City in 1923. She attended Arkansas City High School. She married Jesse P. Rindt on
May 10, 1931 in Arkansas City. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1984. Together the couple started Jesse Rindt
Mortuary in 1939, now known as the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Allie worked as a funeral director, bookkeeper, and
organist for the funeral home until she retired in 1982. Allie was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church,
where she was baptized in 1923. She was very active member serving on many different committees. She was a charter
member and Past President of the Soroptimist Club, former member and Past President of the BPW, Fifty year member
and past Worthy Matron of the Victory Chapter #151 Order of the Eastern Star, Past President and Fifty year member
of the S.O.O.B., former member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the Kansas and National Funeral Director's
Associations.
Allie was also very active in the Arkansas City
Music and Drama Club. She also, was a longtime member of the Twilighters and the Alley Cats Band. The Alley Cats
visited area nursing homes to the delight of the residents.
Survivors include her son Fred D. Rindt and his wife Donna of Arkansas City; two grandchildren Jeff Rindt of Tulsa,
Kelly and her husband Mark McGuigan of Arkansas City; five great-grandchildren Ryan and Lauren McGuigan, Lindsay,
Aaron, and David Rindt.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, son Clifford D. Rindt in 1931, two half-brothers
John Jefferson Stockton and Fred F. Stockton, one half-sister, M. "Pearl" Pearl Thompson, three sisters
Dollie Lee Harrington, Millie "Josephine" Josephine Woods, and her twin Hallie Gaddis on April 19, 2004.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church of Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through

James Bert Stockton, 72, of Arkansas City died October 28, 2002 at the South Central Kansas regional Medical Center in Arkansas City.
Jim was born August 11, 1930 to Orville George & Alice Roosevelt (Brodock) Stockton in Arkansas City. He attended Arkansas City schools.
On March 11, 1953 he married Dorothy R. Werther in Newkirk, OK and the couple has made their home in Arkansas City since. Jim was a self employed rancher in his early years. He then went to work for the county and state road departments. He also was employed at Conoco.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dorothy Stockton of the home; sons, Roger Stockton of Ballston Spa, NY and J.C. Stockton of Camargo, OK; daughter, Patty Tharp; brother, Bob Stockton; sister, Cleo Graves all of Arkansas City; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Riggin Tharp.

Tommy Tim Pike, Sr., 71, Nevada, MO, passed away
on Friday, January 7, 2011, at Freeman West Medical Center, Joplin, MO, following an illness of several weeks.
He was born September 17, 1939, in Nevada, MO, to Everett Pike and Berniece Scantlin Pike.
Tommy was born and raised in Nevada but spent much of his adult life in various locales. He made his living in
a variety of pursuits including tree service and mechanics. He has lived in Nevada for the past 10 years. He had
a passion for auto racing and shared that passion with his family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Pike, Jr., Jeff Hendrix and Jay Pike, all of Nevada, MO; four grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Standlee Pike, and Jimmy Pike, both of El Dorado Springs, MO, and two sisters,
Betty Fern, El Dorado Springs, MO, and Barbara Hume, Nevada, MO.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO,
with Ray Dean Scism officiating. Interment of cremains will be held at National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, KS, at a later

BALL, HARRIETT "HATTIE" J. (STOCKTON)
Harriett "Hattie" Juanita Ball, 78, 1309 W. Chestnust Ave., died Thursday (Dec. 15, 1983) in Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 30, 1905, in Newton County, Mo. to William Elijah Stockton and Sarah Ann (Byers) Stockton and was reared in Newton County.
On August 19, 1920, she married Ora Earl Ball in Neosho, Mo., and the couple made their home in Granby, Mo., moving to Arkansas City in 1943.
She attended Blessing Heights Church.
Survivors include, three sons, Walter A. Ball and Ora Lee Ball, both of Rt. 2, Arkansas City, and Ervin Ray Ball, Grenola, Kan.; six daughters, Mrs. Delmar (Lorene) Barclay, 420 S. Seventh St., Arkansas City, Mrs. Carl (Bertha) Olsen, Ada, Okla., Mrs. Bill (Irene) Richardson, 826 N. Seventh St., Arkansas City, Mrs. Charles (Jessie) Sidener and Mrs. Robert (Juanita) Gibson, both of Sumner, Wash., and Mrs. James (Wanda) Barker, Rt. 1, Arkansas City; 29 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded her in death were her parents, her husband on Jan. 31, 1975, one son, Ivan William Ball on December 13, 1979, four brothers, two sisters, and three great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday (Dec. 19) in Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Reed officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
The family will be at 1309 W. Chestnut Ave. on Monday.
A memorial has been established in her name to Arkansas City Memorial Hospital, CCU fund.

Herman Loving Dies Friday
Herman Vester Loving, 69, 617 S. Fifth St., Arkansas City, Kan., died Friday, Jan. 13, 1961 in Memorial Hospital
at 2:40 a.m., where he had been admitted shortly before.
He had lived in Arkansas City the last time since
1951, and retired in 1956 from his work as engineer for the A. C. Rendering Plant. He worked for 36 years ago for
what is now Maurer-Neuer Packing Co. He helped start the Thies acking Plant in Great Bend in 1932, and moved back
to Arkansas City in 1951 from Salem, Ore.
Loving was born Dec. 15, 1891, in Barry County, Mo., the son of Samuel "Buck" B. Loving and Margaret
Evaline (Stockton) Wilson Loving. He was married to Rosie Etta (Smith) Buttery Jan. 3, 1910, at Bentonville, Ark.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (May) Hand, North Platte, Neb., and Mrs. Harold (Charlotte) Sullivan, Great Bend, Kan.; five sons, Harlon Loving, Great Bend, Kan., Arthur Loving, Wichita, Kan., Louis Loving, North Platt, Neb., Joe Loving, Granby, Mo., and Fred Loving, 617 S. Fifth St., Arkansas City, Kan; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nelly Weeks, Jamestown, Calif., and Mrs. Glen (Inez) Richardson, 617 S. Fifth St., Arkansas, Kan.; and two brothers, Roy Loving, Sonora, Calif., and Shug Loving, Tuolumne, Calif.

EASTER GATTON, 97, of Dexter, Kansas, former Cambridge
and Burden, Kansas resident, passed away Monday afternoon, January 17, 2011 at the Dexter Care Center.
Born on March 23, 1913 in rural Timber Creek, Cowley County, Kansas, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Stickel)
Whiteman She was raised and received her education in Timber Creek.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Gatton on February 18, 1933 Winfield. The couple made their first home
in the Cambridge area where the couple farmed and raised Hereford cattle. Easter was a fulltime homemaker. The
couple moved to Burden in April of 1997. Mr. Gatton preceded her in death on December 8, 1999.
She was a member of the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Her hobbies included fishing and she also enjoyed cooking
for the ranchhands.
Her family includes: Her daughter: Mary Gatton of Cambridge, KS; Her grandchildren: Kendra Hull of her husband
Marky, Kenneth Melissa and Hayden all of Cambridge, KS. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded
in death by her brothers, Harland, Marley and twin Edgar Whiteman; and her sisters, Fern Grable, Mabel Sutton and
Pearl Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Cambridge Presbyterian Church. Interment
will follow at the Cambridge Cemetery. Friends may call from from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M, Thursday, January 20, 2011
at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M., that evening.

MRS. W. E. STOCKTON DIES UNEXPECTEDLY
Mrs. Sarah Ann Stockton, resident of the city of more than 20 years, died unexpectedly at her home home at 10:45
o'clock Tuesday night, Oct. 20, 1942. She was 72 years old.
The Stockton home is at 620 North A. street. Mrs. Stockton came here in 1919 from Diamond, Mo.
Born March 16, 1870 in Coles Co., Ill., to Jess Byers and Catherine (Mann) Byers. She married William Elijah Stockton on Oct. 11, 1891 in Barry County, Mo.
Surviving are the husband, William E. Stockton; two sons, Willis Robert and Marion David Stockton, both of Arkansas City; three daughters, Mrs. Lula Wilson and Mrs. Velma Collins, both of Arkansas City, and Mrs. Hattie Ball, Granby, Mo.;a sister, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Stockton, Joplin, Mo.; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Two sons, her parents; and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Assembly of God Church with Rev. Paul Samuelson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Wilma B. Zimmerman, Wellington. Robert Baldwin Dunlevy, 78, former head of the department of geology at Southwestern college here, died at his home. He had been in failing health since a serious highway accident about 20 years ago. Survivors include Mrs. Dunlevey and one daughter, Mrs. Edward G. Serpan, Tulsa, Okla., who formerly lived in Hutchinson. (Hutchinson News-Herald, January 2, 1949, page 1)
