ROWE, LOLA MAE SATTERTHWAITE

UDALL - Rowe, Lola Mae Satterthwaite, 87, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003 at the Wm. Newton Hospital. She was born March 6, 1916, on the family farm in Udall. Her parents were Benjamin Gabriel and Lydia Jane Shaffer Satterthwaite. She attended The Udall Schools graduating in 1935. On March 6, 1938 she was united in marriage to Earl B. "Toots" Rowe in Douglass. They made their home in Udall. Her husband died Jan. 23, 1984. Lola was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Udall. She is a life time member of the Udall Congregational Church. She was an accomplished pianist, taught piano lessons and served as church pianist for many years. She was a member of the church quilting circle for over 50 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Carmena Jean Rowe and Janice Kay Clasen and four brothers.

Survivors: daughter, Patricia Kraus of Udall; son, Gary Rowe of Scott City; son-in-law, Robert Clasen of Udall; grandchildren, Mindy Mayes, Sheryl Winblad, Debbie Pargman, Marci Ostmeyer, Kristi Cole, Bryan Clasen, Kendra Clasen; 12 great-grandchildren; special niece, Dorothy Wells; three special caregivers, Brenda Watkins, Sandy Nally, Andi Hass; and many other relatives and friends. The service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Udall Congregational Church. Memorial established in Lola's name with Udall Congregational Church. Interment at Udall City Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Swisher-Taylor & Morris Funeral Home, Winfield.
