He's An Expert
John Griffith, cashier of the F. and M. Bank, returned
last week from a pleasant outing, and successful hunting expedition in northern Arizona. He bagged the legal limit
of two deers, a fine Buck and doe in five shots with his rifle. Several families of his friends here, enjoed the
rare treat serving venison on their home tables as a memento of his vacation trip. (The Hill City Times, November

Mildred Thomas returned home from Quincy Bell's
Friday, where she has been working for the past three weeks.
Mrs. Lottie Keith was a visitor last week at Mrs.
Ward Keith of Palco.
Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Bell and Mr. George Clark motored
to Woodston Sunday after Thelma Thomas.
Mrs. W.L. Bell and Mrs. Albert Clark visited at
Mrs. Thomas's Wednesday. The afternoon was spent in quilting.
Miss Opal Millirons, Other Bell, Leota Bell and
Earl Hildebrand visited at Vernon Bell's Monday evening.
Other Bell burned some weeds from in front of the

Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Sandlin called at the Oran Griffith
home Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Brown of Oberlin, accompanied
by their son Leslie and wife and son, were welcome guests at the home of Mrs. Brown's brother, E.L. Hall, and family
in Hill City Sunday. Mr. Brown is the proprietor of a fine herd of registered swine of Poland China strain. His
operations are of such magnitude that semiannual sales are held to dispose of the surplus stock. (The Hill City

Visitors of W. L. Mowry
Glenn Mowry and wife of Osborne were Sunday visitors at the home of his uncle and aunt, W.L. Mowry and his better
half. Glenn will participate in the road building program on 40N west from Hill City and was seeking appartments

Lee Holmes Sells
J.B. Brown, of Rexford, Purchases Barber Shop Here.
J.B. Brown, who has been a tonsorial artist at
Rexford for the past nine years, bought the Lee Holmes barber shop and took possession Monday. Mr. Brown places
to move his family to Hill City in the near future.
Lee Holmes expected to leave for Kansas City this
week where he will enter the Williams Scholl of Embalming. Mrs. Holmes will remain in Hill City while her husband
is in school. Mr. Holmes has been interested in this line of work for some time and had intended to make the change
sometime. However, it was a little sooner than he had expected, he said today.
Mr. Holmes enjoyed a good trade in his shop here.
He was well known having worked in the August Karst shop before he went into business for himself.
The Hill City Times joins with Mr. and Mrs. Holmes'
many friends in wishing them success in their new venture and also extending a hand of greeting to Mr. Brown and
