Iveta Moore, 88, Manhattan, died Sept. 25 at Mercy Health Center following cardiac
arrest during hip surgery.
She was born in Greenforest, Ark., on April 14, 1914. Her family moved to Greenwood County in 1930 and she married
Homer Francis Moore in 1933.
She was a homemaker, and with her husband Homer farmed for many years near Piedmont. She gave permanents to neighbors
for many years and her family says she was in demand as a hair stylist. She was a member of the Piedmont Methodist
Church.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her husband Homer.
Survivors include her son, Larry Moore, Bloomfield, N.M.; two daughters, Mary Louise Drake, Manhattan, and Ronda
Robertson, Port Lavaca, Texas; two sisters; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Koup Funeral Home in Eureka with burial at the Piedmont Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Piedmont Methodist Church, Piedmont, 67122, or left in care of the funeral
home.
