Married at the residence of J. L. Sinnard, Esq., of this place, on Wednesday, January 31st, 1877 by Rev. W. A. Boucher, Mr. Thomas V. Wilson and Miss Phebe Ann Ruble all of Oskaloosa.

HAGAN,  EUGENE  ~  JOHNSON, MADGE

The marriage of Miss Madge Johnson, daughter of Captain and Mrs. J B. Johnson, and Mr. Eugene Hagan was solemnized yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. Father Hayden of the Church of the Assumption.  The ceremony took place at the home of the bride's parents on West Sixth street and was witnessed only by relatives and a few intimate friends.  The bride wore a traveling gown, a tailor-made cloth in shades of dark red and black.  Her hat was a small black toque trimmed with quills and violets.  Mr. and Mrs. Hagan have taken rooms at the Throop, where they will be at home after their return from an extended southern trip.  Mr. Hagan is one of the best known lawyers in the state, and he and his bride are both prominent in Topeka society.
