COUNTY HISTORY |

Linn County was organized in 1855. It was named in honor of Lewis F. Linn, a senator from Missouri.
Mound City is the county seat. Besides the cities listed below, other communities include: Boicourt, Cadmus, Centerville, Critzer, Dunlay, Farlinville, Goodrich, Mantey and Trading Post. |
