LA CYGNE, LINN COUNTY A post, express and telegraph town on the Kansas City, Fort Scott and Gulf Railroad, 62 miles southwest of Kansas City. La Cygne is surrounded by a good agricultural country, besides having large coal fields in the immediate neighborhood.
